BIMA (British Interactive Media Association) reposted this
I'll be speaking about accessibility and inclusive design at SXSW London in 2025!* Becky Ferraro and I have teamed up to pitch a presentation all about reactions and responses to accessibility and inclusive design. 'Accessibility and Inclusive design, what’s your response? Fight, flight, freeze, …or flop!' "When someone mentions accessibility or inclusive design, what’s your response? Do you fight for the case that it’s put at the forefront of your product, or do you run away as it sounds expensive and unnecessary? Maybe you just freeze not knowing what to do? Perhaps you even flop to the floor and hope the situation blows over you and you don’t have to deal with it at all." Thank you to BIMA (British Interactive Media Association) for supporting our entry! … *Pending your vote If you're in a position to register and vote, it only takes a couple of minutes, and we'd love the opportunity to bring this topic to the SXSW conference. Deadline for voting is 19th December 2024. Vote via the SXSW awards platform - https://lnkd.in/ecRuQNXB Do look out for and support other BIMA entries, presentations on inclusive design and accessibility, and diversity too! It's so important these topics are spoken about and shared. ID: A still from the film, The Shining. The main character shivers frozen covered in snow. He is not happy, and rolling his eyes. #Accessibility #InclusiveDesign #PublicSpeaking #SXSW #SXSWLondon2025
