We would like to extend our congratulations to Dame Katherine Grainger on her election to Chair of the British Olympic Association (BOA).  Her strong leadership as Chair of UK Sport, and as a five-time Olympian, means she brings invaluable experience and insights to this key role for our TeamGB. We at British Triathlon look forward to working with her and the BOA as we move into the next Olympic cycle and set our sights on success in LA 2028.  We would also like to take this opportunity to recognise the contribution Sir Hugh Robertson has made during his nine-year tenure as BOA Chair. 🌊🌊 Welsh sports governing bodies have joined the Clean Water Sports Alliance as the Government announces consultation on bathing waters. Welsh Triathlon, Welsh Rowing, Canoe Wales, and RYA Wales have joined forces to form the Welsh Clean Water Sports Alliance.  This Welsh Alliance represents a community of over 50,000 triathletes, paddlers, swimmers, and rowers – all wanting to ensure they can enjoy their sport in clean and safe open water.  This came on the same day the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and National Resources Wales launched a six-week consultation reviewing current bathing water policy.  Eve Joseph, our Head of Social Impact, joined Welsh Triathlon’s CEO, Catherine Roberts, and the group yesterday for the announcement at the Welsh Sports Association Sustainability in Sport Conference.  👇 Learn more about the Welsh Clean Water Sports Alliance announcement: 👇 For more information on the consultation head to the DEFRA site: https://lnkd.in/e8dk8DE4
