There is a lot in the media this time of year about New Year’s resolutions and making changes to our lives, which can put us under a lot of pressure. What’s really important is to focus on the things that make us happy. Some of us may be feeling worried about the year ahead and some of us may find the start of a new year exciting. Whatever you’re feeling, it’s OK to feel that way. Visit: https://lnkd.in/ekfkjECs

Buckinghamshire Mind reposted this
This is urgent 🚨 The UK government is about to make a huge decision on NHS priorities and mental health funding and we need your support to make sure they don't make a catastrophic mistake ⬇ We’re worried they could remove the Mental Health Investment Standard (MHIS) which guarantees a certain amount of funding for mental health services at a local level in England. This decision would be a devastating step backwards. People with mental health problems and those waiting to get help will lose out. We can't let this happen. We’re doing as much as we can behind the scenes but we need your help too: 👍 Like and share this post. 💭 Comment below and tell Keir Starmer and Wes Streeting this decision would be a mistake. Mental health already doesn’t get its fair share of funding. This will make things even worse. We can’t afford to lose funding for mental health services when there are already 2 million people on waiting lists for mental health support. Please do what you can to help us show how catastrophic this decision would be.

If Christmas is a hard time for you, it’s important to remember that you are not alone. There are things you can try that might help, such as: ✔It’s ok to prioritise what’s best for you, even if others don’t seem to understand. ✔Think about what you need and how you might be able to get it. ✔Consider talking to someone you trust about what you need to cope.
