Supporting Conservation at Lisvane & Llanishen Reservoirs Late last year, three of our emerging professionals, Shane Lee, Jay Ford, and Abdillahi Elayeh, joined the ACE Emerging Professionals Group in volunteering at Lisvane and Llanishen Reservoirs. Their focus? Helping to preserve the rare waxcap fungi, which thrive in nutrient-poor environments. Bristol Airport Multi-Storey Car Park 2 (MSCP2) Project Update: Burroughs are the lead highways engineers for the proposed new road network, working on behalf of the Farrans Construction / Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Ltd joint venture. The Perimeter Road opened to the public in September 2024, providing a temporarily two-way route connecting the A38 to the current drop-off area, while North Side Road remains closed for further construction. Construction of the footbridge abutment is progressing well. Designed by Burroughs, the abutment will support the pedestrian footbridge connecting level 4 of the new multi-storey car park to the terminal forecourt. This footbridge will serve as the primary route for all passengers travelling between MSCP2 and the terminal. As the main car park structure nears completion, a series of external retaining structures designed by Burroughs, are currently being installed.

🚀 Grace’s Year in Placement with Burroughs Discovering Burroughs at a Cardiff University careers fair was just the beginning for Grace. Four months into her placement, she’s gained hands-on experience, confidence, and invaluable technical skills. From surveying Victorian schools to contributing to design projects, and even managing her own projects, Grace says the support from her mentor and team here at Burroughs has been incredible.
