Over the past few months, we’ve been très proud to launch our brand-new career development programme, Voyage. Just last week, we celebrated the first graduates of our Bronze programme, Waiter to Supervisor, and Chef to Junior Sous Chef with 17 incroyable delegates graduating in style. The 3-month journey saw our teams embrace a leadership mindset through atelier style peer-to-peer workshops, time at our magnifique development kitchen with our wonderful Regional Training Chefs and plenty of hands-on upskilling in restaurants. We’ve also launched our Diamond programme, dedicated to those talented individuals with potential to become our next general managers across our estate. And this is just the beginning! In the new year, we’re introducing even more exciting opportunities, with programmes focused on understanding leadership styles, empowerment, commercial acumen, resilience, and adapting communication approaches. This week saw all our General Managers, Head Chefs and Support Office come together in the fabulous Titanic Hotel in Liverpool for our annual conference and awards dinner. A chance to celebrate, reward and invigorate our teams by talking all things teamwork, leading with passion, the importance of consistent guest experiences in our restaurants, and of course an exclusive preview of our Christmas offer. We were lucky enough to hear from several of the Côte teams and we also welcomed a very special guest, Helen Richardson-Walsh OLY MBE who spoke to us about her journey to Olympic champion and how culture played such a huge part in the success of the England Hockey Team. Finalement, our new autumn à la carte menu has landed in all restaurants today. Our teams have worked hard to create dishes that are unmistakably French (with a twist, bien sûr). Recently, some of our teams from restaurants and our Support Office visited the delightful city of Strasbourg in eastern France, courtesy of our friends at @Brasserie Meteor. Highlights of the trip included a fabulous dinner at the Meteor restaurant, for some (obvious) beer tasting and some fantastic food plus a little trip to the picturesque village of Hochfelden in the Alsace Region, home to Meteor Brewery. The group also experienced the annual beer festival and enjoyed the night dancing to local music, enjoying the local hospitality. Merci beaucoup et santé! At Côte, we love helping our teams to grow their careers with us. Our fabuleuse Sophie Pfeiffer joined us in 2016, working with the team in guest relations and quickly flourished in this role. With a real passion for communication and influencing, Sophie is now responsible for resourcing operational roles across the estate, and joined the Talent Attraction team back in 2021. In her own words "recruitment suits a certain type of person, someone with instinct and plenty of resilience. Last week we reopened the doors of our most recently refurbished restaurant in Cambridge thanks to our friends at Quadrant Design and Meridian Design Build Limited. Whilst the restaurant was closed to the public, work doesn’t stop for our passionate teams who undertake some serious training with our fabulous L&D colleagues, Jeannette Garcia, Ciro Pane & Beata Kielbasa who focused on enabling our team to make each guest feel special from the moment they find our front door.
