An entity filled with greatness, and the power to destruct mankind. From College classrooms to shisha bars, our children are exposed to a range of surroundings whether we like it or not. It is our duty to instil God consciousness and the understanding of right and wrong so that they are able to make responsible decisions. To successfully raise righteous, morally grounded individuals we MUST implement the sunnah. We must give our children the ‘quality time’ they are entitled to, and the opportunities to explore the environment and partake in social activities. These are merely some of the basic sunnah that was practised by our prophet (saw). It is our duty to adhere to every aspect of parenthood, so that we may please Allah (swt) and gain the best for our children in this life and the next. About us
Cambridge Islamic College’s mission is to produce a generation of independent Islamic scholars and thinkers who are at the same time working professionals contributing to the wider British society. We are committed to bridging the disconnect between mainstream secular education and specialised Islamic studies. CIC graduates are expected to be active role models within their communities, respected for both their knowledge of the religion and for their flexibility, realism, and independent thinking. Here at Cambridge Islamic College students are taken through a rigorous and critical study of the classical Islamic sciences and their sub-disciplines. Alongside the Islamic sciences, the contemporary challenges faced globally and by Muslims in particular, are a core focus of the curriculum. Students are encouraged to develop an informed understanding of the shared and different values amongst Muslims and non-Muslims alike. We aim to cultivate the essential religious virtue of respect and tolerance of others. A virtue that is also the basis of civility and good citizenship, and the foundation of a cohesive society that embraces and builds upon diversity.
