Last month we had the pleasure of hosting our annual Principals Forum in Nicosia, in collaboration with British Council Cyprus. This event provided a platform for school heads and senior teachers from Cyprus to share ideas, experiences and insights. 🤝 We were thrilled to welcome representatives from several newly registered #CambridgeSchools to the forum for the first time. The event featured updates on the Cambridge Pathway and new Cambridge Resources, along with engaging presentations on: 📚 Our approach to assessment. 🗣️ Oracy for all: empowering teachers and learners in every classroom. 📊 Transforming education with CEM baseline assessments. A special highlight was our first-ever roundtable discussion with representatives from universities in Cyprus who offered valuable insights to all delegates. Looking back on my journey to The University of Warwick I see how much my academic foundations, built through the Cambridge International Education AS and A Levels, shaped this transition. They ensured that the weather and the food were the only two things I truly had to adapt to! The skills I developed during those formative years—critical thinking, creative thinking, and resilience—have helped me integrate seamlessly into the UK academic environment. They've allowed me to approach assignments with greater confidence and engage more effectively with diverse perspectives, enriching my overall learning experience at Warwick. A big thank you to Zubair and Zoë for giving me the opportunity to share my story and inspire the next generation of learners. Last week we welcomed Prof. Kamal Munir, Pro Vice Chancellor, University of Cambridge, for a networking evening and dinner in Lahore, Pakistan. In his inspiring welcome address, Prof. Munir emphasised the growing need to integrate AI into education, sharing that the University of Cambridge strives to make high-quality education accessible to all. He also discussed the future of education, with a special focus on making 2025 a landmark year for educational advancements. Additionally, Prof. Munir highlighted our pivotal role in Pakistan's educational landscape. The evening brought together a diverse group of thought leaders from the government, private sector and academia, including former ministers, former Governors Punjab, Corporation CEOs and government stakeholders. It was a pleasure to engage with Prof. Kamal Munir and discuss our shared belief in collaboration, empowerment and the future of international education in Pakistan.
