We are pleased to announce that our Infrastructure Services team has been awarded a pipeline construction contract at Sullom Voe Terminal for the construction of a new gas pipeline! The contract was awarded by EnQuest, operator of the terminal, and Camm-Pro Ltd, the project management and integration company appointed by bp. The Sullom Voe Terminal is an oil and gas terminal located at the northern end of the largest Shetland Island, and plays a vital role as one of the largest oil terminals in Europe. We’ve published the bp UK Economic Impact Report today. Produced with analysis from Oxford Economics it shows how we contributed to the economy and communities in 2023. Here are some highlights: 📈 Our total contribution to UK GDP was an estimated £17.1 billion, equivalent to 0.64% or £1 in every £160 of UK GDP. 👩🔧 bp directly employed >16,000 people and supported an additional estimated 65,000 jobs across the supply chain. This total of 81,000 jobs equates to 1 in every 410 UK jobs. 🌐We spent £5.3 billion with UK suppliers from Shetland to Southampton. 🤝And we donated more than £16 million to charities supporting the most vulnerable through the cost-of-living crisis and funded projects aiming to enhance education, employability and biodiversity.
