On Wednesday, we celebrated our milestone 70 years of Camphill Village Trust at our Delrow Community, surrounded by over 100 supporters, staff, and the people we support. The start of many celebrations in the coming months. Our CEO, Sara Thakkar, delivered a heartfelt speech reflecting on the incredible journey we’ve had, acknowledging the people who contribute to our vibrant and thriving communities, and celebrating the dedication of everyone who has supported us along the way. Sara shared, "Today is a celebration of community, creativity, and shared purpose. It’s a testament to how far we’ve come and the work still to be done." While we celebrate 70 years of Camphill Village Trust, there’s still so much more to achieve. You can continue supporting our mission and help us build a brighter future for our communities. https://lnkd.in/eugxYGQ2 #CamphillVillageTrust #charity #70Years #Anniversary #LifeofOpportunity

Yesterday, our Delrow Community hosted a truly memorable event marking seventy years of creating meaningful opportunities and connections. With over 100 supporters, staff, and the people we support joining the celebration, it was a day of joy, reflection, and togetherness. Guests enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by our Severnside Skills catering team, and the stunning handmade anniversary cake from Delrow Bakery was the highlight of the day! 🎂 Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so special. 🩷💚 Here’s to the next 70 years of building communities together! #CamphillVillageTrust #70Years #LifeofOpportunity

Safeguarding Week 2024 at Camphill Village Trust This year, we proudly hosted a webinar in partnership with the Ann Craft Trust, bringing together voices from across our communities and beyond to highlight how safeguarding and co-production work hand-in-hand. The session, led by community members, Nikki, Ed, Adam, and Owen, welcomed insights from Stuart Sale (Ann Craft Trust), Michael Nutt, Sally Watts, Iain Wilson (Co-production Lead), and Anna Korving (Family Carer). 💬 "We loved doing the session and sharing about how we all work in partnership to help ensure everyone is safe." – Ed 💬 "Safeguarding and co-production are core to everything we do at the Trust. They should be seen as two vital functions that work in partnership for the benefit of all." – Sally Watts Thank you to everyone who contributed to this insightful and inspiring session. Together, we are building safer, more inclusive communities. #SafeguardingWeek2024 #CamphillVillageTrust #AnnCraftTrust #CoProduction #Partnership

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to our team of Cheesemakers for winning the ‘Best Cheese’ award at last night’s Deliciously Yorkshire awards. The Creamery Team take the raw organic milk produced by the dairy herd at our farm in Botton and utilises their expertise in the science and magic of cheesemaking to create outstanding raw milk cheeses. All while playing a central role in the community at Botton to support adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex mental health needs to lead a life of opportunity. The judges commented on the winning Summerfields cheese “Deliciously Floral and alpine, its taste transports you to the Swiss mountain pastures. A fantastic cheese and a very special product indeed.” You can read more about the award and the people behind the cheese in our latest blog - https://lnkd.in/epJCTGNp Ruth Wells #awardwinningcheese #lifeofopportunity

Today, we pause to remember and honour the courage and sacrifices of those who served and continue to serve. Across nations and generations, people of all backgrounds have faced hardships to protect peace, freedom, and our shared values. We hold their memory with gratitude, reflect on the lessons of the past, and work together toward a future of unity and peace. #Lestweforget #armisticeday
