#Timelapse a total of 792 frames over 13 days, time to move the interval to one frame every 60 seconds on 3 cameras to build the frames up quicker of course it means the video may look a little strange as it will be shown differently due to the frame rate. Give it a few days and the interval will drop again... maybe 30 seconds per frame or less. Before you ask the platform is already on the net so these are real life timelapses, one frame every 60 seconds is being built online and not to a local server, it's never been on a local server this has always been on a server based on the net. Yes the platform can work at those types of intervals but generally its 1 frame an hour, we just need to test the system by loading it up as if there will frames coming in every min which shows the volume of connections the platform would be capable of handling! A faster server and the number of connections would clearly be higher, it would be a lot !! But we are not limited to one server we could deploy multiple servers easily enough and grow the connections 😉 Don't forget the platform will also build your full timelapse video and or the timelapse frames anytime so you always have access to export the files. I have held back on playing a video on the #CCTV platform until now. This video is not the video you might be expecting! So press "PLAY" I find video posts really don't get many views specially evening posts so prove me wrong ! The video is a timelapse recording, its a recording built from one frame every 10 mins from the hours of 0600 to 1800 from the 14th to the 19th of this month so you are watching a video consisting of 407 frames, there are more frames but they have been hidden from view. A normal timelapse is normally 1 frame an hour over a prolonged period to build a long timelapse video To explain in timelapse you will always have frames that are maybe too dark, rain blurring the image, etc and those frames are easily removed in the platform simply by selecting or deselecting them from the view. As you can imagine there will be some dark images at 6am as the mornings are getting darker and soon it will be darker in the evenings so these dark images are automatically hidden by the platform. In the video I quickly demonstrate how you can view the video in different frame rates from 10 to 25 frames per second and then load the full dates and show the full video so you really can see the timelapse in action. After that I select the dates again and this time I use the build video button where the video will be created in the background, when the video has been generated the message bell shows a notification highlighting a new message has arrived with the link to download my full timelapse video within the message that's full resolution video in 25 frames per second, It doesn't matter what camera or what resolution the camera has the platform should handle it and work in exactly the same way where you can send the dates to build and it will give you a message telling you when it is ready. I am thinking of expanding the video message to whats app so you would get a whats app when its ready where you can simply download the video from the whats app message, Not bad for a quickly knocked up platform eh ! I have 3 camera's sending frames every 10 mins from the hours of 06:00 to 18:00 from the 13th/14th of this month as an ongoing test, If this sounds of interest let me know, I can always setup an account so you can start timelapsing This is why I posted if you have a CCTV tower you could earn more from it, upsell timelapse and use your existing tower and record the video in timelapse while its also monitoring the site ! No limits on recording timelapse it can record from anywhere, anytime ! Remember any camera any resolution as long as it can talk to the platform it can timelapse ! So it doesnt even have to be a CCTV camera, I actually added code to even timelapse with an iPhone ! Haven't tested it yet though, if anyone wants to donate an old iPhone let me know and I will certainly test it ! I have been busy getting this system developed from a blank page and even a blank server..... Yesterday evening I was bug fixing and finishing off some sections of development that were not quite working 100% so things have moved forward considerably over the past couple of days. Message notifications are now finished, so the message bell will flash when there are notifications. I do have to add a notification marker to the browser tab so you can see there are notifications without clicking on the tab, I will find the time to sort this soon. I am thinking of adding what's app messaging to the platform as I think it could be very useful, I'm not interested in storing numbers at this point it would literally be enter your number and it would send the one message to your device when the notification arrives, I'm not even interested in email addresses or any personal information so once you have a login that's all you would need, well maybe a company name and that's basically it. Using something like whats app would also be handy for international notifications, I did look at sms messages but it could prove expensive to use that medium so I am keeping my eyes open on a way to message the users of the platform, I could do it with android but the guys on iOS wouldn't have that luxury. I have developed the additional service that was required so there are now 3 different services running that each handle different aspects of the system, there maybe another service at some point as I am tempted to add some monitoring, maybe map with some pins and flashing notifications, etc if the camera appears to be offline, who knows.... anything is possible and this is fairly simple to implement. The calendar is 99% completed, I still need sort it so dates can be selected rather than playing days of video. Not a difficult job I was just busy resolving some issues, I might sort that development later today. Yesterday evening I really was bug fixing but moving forward I can start to put more time into new features and finalising some pages, I do have a couple of new pages to add though so it will soon be fully useable and people will be able to login and use the platform with their video very soon. I always like to do things different and add my spin and this platform certainly does that, I will make a bigger reveal soon enough I just need to get a few other things sorted first.
