Ten captives have been registered on Bermuda so far this year, according to the latest information from the Bermuda Monetary Authority. So far this year a total of 43 insurers of all kinds have registered on Bermuda, along with three agents, two managers and five brokers, taking the total number of new registrations to 53. AM Best has downgraded the long-term issuer credit rating (Long-Term ICR) to “bbb” (Good) from “bbb+” (Good) and affirmed the Financial Strength Rating (FSR) of B++ (Good) of Lincoln Benefit Life Company (LBL).
