Well 2024 has certainly been a monumental year for Care & Independence!: 🤝 Our acquisition by the GBUK Group boosts our capacity to work for the greater good 🏆 Winning the British Healthcare Trades Association MANUFACTURER of the YEAR, with the Glove Convenience Max sling shortlisted as Product of the Year 🏆 Winning the BEST OVERALL COMPANY at the Cherwell Valley Awards, plus nominations for Large Business of the Year and Business Person of the Year ⭐ Delivering in excess of 84 training events to over 1300 healthcare professionals 🆕 Bringing 16 new products to market across our BATHING & COMFORT VALUE® ranges 📹 Launching our YouTube channel with 107 useful videos to aid healthcare professionals and carers 🧡 But most importantly, this year we have improved 168,000 lives! 🫶 Thank you to all our customers and supporters. Working alongside #occupationaltherapists and #carers they help with #freejointassessments and provide #freetraining promoting #bestpractice. Their capacity for #caring, #empathy and #goingtheextramile should not be underestimated, as they are often dealing with heart-wrenching and palliative care situations as well as complex #movingandhandling scenarios that require sensitivity and their expertise. Slings are Class One Medical Devices and thus are subject to Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) Examinations. Having slings that are in fully working and operable order is extremely important for user safety and sling performance. A LOLER examination may only be conducted by a person trained and qualified to do so. Today some of our sales team are receiving refresher LOLER training to help ensure that we continue to deliver and advise on best practice for occupational therapists in the field. #improvinglives #bestpractice #slings #occupationaltherapists #loler #usersafety

My goodness what a week for Care & Independence!! An absolutely cracking #otshow with a super busy stand and standing room only at our theatre talk. We loved seeing everyone and engaging in meaningful conversations in all things #movingandhandling. Thank you to the hundreds of #occupationaltherapists and #healthcareprofessionals that stopped by our stand. Then Friday night we were back in Birmingham for the #bhtaawards where we are thrilled to announce that the British Healthcare Trades Association awarded Care & Independence 🎉 MANUFACTURER OF THE YEAR 2024 🎉 This is a tremendous achievement and one we are incredibly proud of. Every employee contributes towards this and helps us set not just high standards but also forge better and more efficient ways of working for the benefit of the greater good.
