Last night, Carter Jonas was delighted to receive the Highly Commended award for Best Host Contribution from City, University of London, for our partnership with their Micro Placement Programme. This particular award recognises hosts who focus on the development of students during their placement within the business. As part of our diverse Micro Placement Programme, students are immersed within our Living Sectors team, working on projects and gaining experience alongside Lee Richards LLB MARLA AIRPM, our Head of Living Sectors, as well as gaining exposure to a range of firmwide updates, presentations and activities as part of our formal summer internship. Since the establishment of our partnership back in 2021, we're proud to have contributed to the development and experience of each student we have hosted, and look forward to continuing our support for future candidates within the programme. We’re pleased to announce that as of 1 May 2025, Alexandra Houghton will take up the role of Head of Commercial at Carter Jonas, and will join our Management Board. Alexandra will be taking over the role from Scott Harkness, who will step into a new position as Head of Transactions within the division. In addition, Richard Love, currently Head of Building Consultancy, will take on the newly created role as Head of Consultancy, where he will continue to lead our building consultancy services and oversee commercial valuations, property management, and consultancy and strategy services. In exciting news, GARBE Industrial Real Estate UK’s speculative construction at Worksop Link is progressing well. This is their new joint venture with Invesco EMEA. Steels are flying up and will be complete on both Unit 1 (463,500 sq ft) and Unit 2 (86,500 sq ft) by 10th February.
