4 fiscal quarters…. 4 new records for #solar manufacturing growth. 2024 is THE year for American #solar manufacturing. According to the Q4 Solar Market Insight report released today by the Solar Energy Industries Association and Wood Mackenzie, the U.S. added a record-breaking 9.3 GWs of module manufacturing capacity in Q3. That beats the record we set in Q2... which beat the record set in Q1… which beat the record we set in Q4 of 2023! That’s 5x growth of solar module manufacturing capacity in just the last two years, and it’s not even the best part. At full capacity, U.S. solar module factories can now produce enough to meet nearly all demand for solar in the United States. Seriously. We're on our way to meeting all domestic solar demand with American-made panels. That was unthinkable just a few years ago. Oh, and we had the largest Q3 ever in terms of electricity generation capacity additions too. Federal solar policies and increased private investments are strengthening our nation’s energy security and creating thousands of new job opportunities for American workers. Heading into a new year and a new administration, our industry is on solid footing. And I could not be more excited for where we’re headed.
