Creating the world's most complex and accurate independent online casino resource in the world.

About us

Casino Guru is the biggest database of online casinos and online casino bonuses with up-to-date information on basically all online casinos on the internet. But we aim to be so much more than “just” a casino review website. We are a team of 80+ full-time professionals (and many more part-timers) trying to change the gambling world for the better. We hold online casinos accountable for their actions and do everything we can to make online gambling fairer and safer for everyone. Our approach has always been to do everything as well as we possibly can.We want to have the best and most objective casino reviews, to have the biggest database of casinos and bonuses, to write the most helpful and truthful educational content, to create the most active online community of casino players... We have already succeeded in some of our goals, but others still need some work. But rest assured, we are working on it! In our efforts to help players directly, we give them a place to submit a complaint about a casino that has treated them unfairly, carefully examining each case and facilitating a way for the player to reach out to the casino to get the issue resolved. Each case is judged in accordance with our fair gambling codex, lowering the casino’s rating in line with our methodology and informing other players about the casino’s actions in its review if we find out that the player has been mistreated.

  • 📊 The most interesting players' survey insights: The majority of players preferred to be verified prior to making their first deposit, based on the final results. Such a responsible choice might assist in preventing many conflicts for both casinos and players. It is interesting to note that just 18% of respondents support the existing practice of getting verified at the time of the first withdrawal. Nonetheless, 14% of players favor playing in anonymous casinos in an attempt to get around the whole verification procedure. Do comparable outcomes pique your interest? The next poll is already underway, so stay tuned: https://lnkd.in/e2fM3ScB 🚀

  • Will such an admirable strategy alter the ingrained practices? Choosing to support sustainable gambling is the right decision. "It is pretty simple; it just requires a good amount of courage," Šimon stated.

Prague spring during self-regulation winter. Did you know that Czechs work on their single-customer view? What started as an operator association initiative is now moving towards policymakers. This is not the only initiative that moved from self-regulation to the actual requirement. All license holders now have a 48-hour panic button available for their players, blocking access from all of them simultaneously. Fortuna Entertainment Group N.V. was at the forefront of these changes. First, they convinced other association members that monitoring and preventing gambling harm is a reasonable strategy. Then, they devised their analyses on markers of harm and shared them with others for good. Interestingly, they did not stop in their domestic market and are now lobbying in other markets where they operate, already with some success. Such a bottom-up movement is rare to see. One of the main barriers to self-regulation is the risk of giving the upper hand to your competitors. To pursue it takes a strong commitment with reasonable returns in the form of avoiding over-regulation. Convincing your competitors to do the same is not only the (morally) right thing to do but also decreases the risk of losing competitive advantage. It is pretty simple; it just requires a good amount of courage. I had the opportunity to discuss this inspiring story with Eva Heringova, and we will be releasing a recording of it in a few weeks' time.

The Safer Gambling Week campaign with Gamalyze is up and running. Successfully delivering safer gambling messages to players can be challenging. We got help from Mindway AI and their risk assessment game, Gamalyze, to tackle this. Our campaign has been here thanks to our partnership several times, but we have a few upgrades this year. Firstly, we reworked the top menu widget to make the message that something special is happening more evident. To stay aligned with the original intention to gamble, we focus our content on playing games. We implemented Gamalyze directly on our website and used the same layout as for all our free casino games. The resulting design is familiar to our visitors, thus decreasing the disruption from their initial goal. We also promote it as the game of the week. Lastly, we have invited several online casinos to participate with us and offer the game to their players. We intend to increase the reach of players who can learn about their gambling behaviour and use it to decrease gambling-related harm. For the record, Gamalyze is a gamified reinvention of the self-test, making it more user-friendly, engaging and actionable than typical player questionnaires. Gamalyze analyzes each player’s decisions and reaction to wins and losses while they draw cards from 4 different decks. Try it for yourself. The link is in the comments.
