Stanley Gibbons Baldwin's recently partnered with VeVe on a limited edition release, bringing the first and most famous postage stamp, the 1840 Penny Black, to a brand new audience!    The digital collectible sold out within minutes with all 8468 editions finding new homes. In addition, 150 lucky collectors received a physical limited edition slabbed Penny Black!   Congratulations to the team on the news, and we looked forward to seeing their next innovation!   Link to landing page: https://lnkd.in/e25z4fgz

Last Thursday, we proudly hosted the Castelnau Group Annual Portfolio Event, bringing together leaders from across our businesses to share key highlights, challenges, and successes. This yearly event is more than just a recap; it’s a chance for all our portfolio companies to come together and share their experiences and learnings. Each CEO took the stage to present their company’s performance, key learnings and transformative initiatives from the past year and plans for 2025, fostering a deeper understanding of our collective achievements and areas for growth. We were pleased to invite the full leadership teams from each of the businesses, scheduling in plenty of time for the teams to mingle over a few drinks after the presentations! Two hobby worlds came together on October 28th and 29th as our portfolio companies, Stanley Gibbons Baldwin’s and Hornby Hobbies Ltd, held a unique collaboration at the Stanley Gibbons Baldwin's shop at 399 Strand! The ground floor featured interactive Scalextric racing tracks and Hornby train sets, alongside a selection of exquisite Stanley Gibbons Baldwin's collectibles, drawing in impressive half-term foot traffic and capturing the excitement of visitors of all ages. The event also featured an auction supporting numerous charities, including Mind, Mission Motorsport - The Forces' Motorsport Charity, Models for Heroes, The Children's Trust, Hope for Tomorrow and The Sandcastle Trust. The auction selections included one-of-a-kind collectibles and models, such as pre-production prototypes and signed items, which resulted in enthusiastic bidding from visiting hobbyists, collectors and newcomers as well as online bidders, ultimately raising over £10k for great causes. This collaboration illustrates how our portfolio companies can come together to create unique experiences for our customers and partners. Earlier this week, Roderick Manzie and Jamie Broadhurst spoke to 60 Year 12 students during an assembly at Fulham Cross Academy. They shared their personal journeys in entrepreneurship, offering insights and inspiration on what it takes to build and grow a business.
