About us
Traditional financial service providers are often burdened with costly overheads including expensive branch networks, inflexible technology and huge armies of people. At Castle Trust Bank, we keep our overheads to a minimum and we use savings proceeds to fund our lending solutions. In the past, we offered investment products to our customers which proved very popular. As a bank, we now offer savings accounts, giving our customers the added benefit of FSCS protection for their deposits. Our history means that we have a strong understanding of what our customers need and have built our savings range with those customers and their needs front of mind. In a complex world, we strive for openness and clarity. We place the highest importance on treating our customers fairly not just because it's the right thing to do but because we know that the trust of our customers is crucial to our future success. We recognise that for many mortgage customers, traditional solutions don't cut the mustard. These customers can often have high quality assets but unconventional income and so find it difficult to borrow at reasonable rates and on sensible terms. What experienced buy to let investors need is lending with imagination. They need a lender that recognises cash flow and net worth are not the same thing. They need a lender that is flexible in their approach and makes considered, logical decisions. Castle Trust Bank is that lender. We also offer point of sale finance through our Omni Capital Retail Finance arm. Partnering with retailers nationwide, we support their business by offering finance plans to their customers. OmniPort technology gives retailers paperless credit approval which fits seamlessly with their sales processes and customers can use our dedicated customer portal to keep up to date with their loans.

We were pleased to recently welcome Jen Gennai from T3 Consultants to deliver the foundational training course on Responsible AI to our Board and Senior Leadership Team. Everyone found the training enlightening - understanding various AI solutions within a business context and the practical examples used in the session really helped bring AI into everyday life (at home and at work). The training underscored the importance to start with the problem at hand before working through possible AI solutions, testing them, and determining whether AI is the appropriate solution and what risks and benefits are involved. Some of the attendees didn’t necessarily relate AI to their daily lives, but this soon changed, and everyone talked about how engaged they are with AI on a regular basis. They gained a fresh perspective on its prevalence, even in everyday applications like music streaming and navigation systems. This newfound understanding will help us reassure to our broader colleagues that AI is not as intimidating as it might appear, thereby encouraging a collective and positive adoption of AI within the Bank. Jen's presentation was highly engaging and she demonstrated a deep knowledge of financial services. Her expertise, coupled with effective pacing and clear delivery, ensured we covered substantial material at a brisk yet manageable pace, maintaining focus and interest throughout. This training really demystifies AI and provides a solid foundation, making it invaluable for individuals seeking a fundamental understanding of AI in a regulated business without feeling overwhelmed. For a foundational course it offers an excellent overview of the AI landscape and what financial organisations should be thinking about in terms of risk, governance and responsibility - we highly recommend it. It’s Testimonial Tuesday and another great review for Specialist Hub 🤩. Our client approached us directly after being declined by a number of other brokers. She was looking to purchase a property in Bedfordshire and carry out heavy refurbishment, but required a lender that would work on the below market value purchase price. She also needed 100% funding of the works to carry out the refurbishment. We approached Castle Trust Bank who were able to offer 87% of the purchase price and 100% of the refurbishment cost, using their semi exclusive heavy refurb product. The client was delighted with the outcome 😊. Gary Maher / Anna Lewis #testimonialtuesday #refurbishment #heavyrefurb #happybroker #review #feedback

THE RISE OF THE HMO🏘️ I’ve noticed more of our traditional property investor clients diversifying into HMOs. With the potential for higher rental yields and maximising income from a single property, HMOs can be a smart move for those looking to scale or optimise their portfolios. Given this growing interest, I’m excited to be hosting a panel debate at The Londoner in a couple of weeks with some of the top players in the HMO space. We’ll be covering everything from finance and investment strategies to operations and valuations, with insights from: Nicholas Christofi - CEO at Karis Capital, specialising in funding solutions that have helped a wealth of clients build and scale HMO portfolios. Anna Lewis - Commercial Director at Castle Trust Bank, offering innovative debt products for HMO investors. George Panayiotou - Partner at Babouris, a highly experienced property investor with a significant track record of growth. Alex Babouris – Founder at Babouris, the mastermind behind efficient HMO operations. Edward Boulton – Associate Director at Lambert Smith Hampton, a valuer who truly understands the HMO market. Just a handful of spots left for the event, so if you’re interested in joining the conversation, whether your a HMO pro or new to the strategy, drop me a message to secure one of the remaining places 🏛️ #hmo #hmoproperty #hmofinance #hmoportfolio #propertyinvestor #propertyinvestment #propertyinvesting #investmentproperty #hmooperator #hmolandlord
