About us
Proud winners of Best Sustainable Investment Engagement Initiative (for our corporate global and UK mental health benchmarks) and Sustainable Investment Fund Management Group of the Year (AUM under £50bn) at Investment Week Sustainable Investment Awards 2023. Our purpose is to help our clients maximise their impact on society by harnessing the power of investment markets. CCLA was borne out of an aspiration to provide responsibly managed, cost-efficient investments for charities and churches across the UK. From humble beginnings, CCLA has become the largest manager of charitable assets in the UK (as reported in the Fund Management Survey 2023 published by Charity Finance). Our distinctive heritage and approach to managing investments on behalf of not-for-profit organisations led us to extend our investment capabilities to individual investors in 2022. This offering was created in response to growing demand for the kind of authentic ESG approach for which we are well-known and is an extension of our commitment to continue to support investors of all sizes. Our segregated and managed fund services and wide range of pooled funds enable us to meet the needs of organisations of all sizes. CCLA Investment Management Limited (registered in England No. 2183088) and CCLA Fund Managers Limited (registered in England No. 8735639) at One Angel Lane, London EC4R 3AB, are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Dame Sara Thornton, consultant at CCLA, speaks to Board Agenda® on why boards need to tackle modern slavery. 'We encourage strong governance on modern slavery, including allocating responsibility at board level and ensuring appropriate mechanisms are in place to include workers’ and relevant stakeholders’ perspectives. 'From the top down, directors must encourage comprehensive human rights due diligence. This means detailed operational and supply chain risk assessments at all levels – especially lower-tier suppliers where violations are most prevalent.’ https://lnkd.in/eH_QKx7A #betterwork

‘In the UK, CCLA is seeing increasing interest from all [Christian] denominations in how money is invested, aligned with specific ethics. So, the aim is to help Christians think about investing their money in a way which is aligned with Christian, or Roman Catholic, teaching. It’s about focusing on values rather than value.’ Peter Hugh Smith Investment & Pensions Europe (IPE) talks to Peter Hugh Smith and Jean-Baptiste de Franssu about a new initiative aimed at driving a new market for Christian faith consistent investing (FCI), following the Mensuram Bonam (good measure) conference in London last month which welcomed 90 financial sector leaders and church leaders from 16 countries. https://lnkd.in/erqn36Ug
