𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 Balfour Beatty plc 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 Last week, we had the incredible opportunity to attend the prestigious Balfour Beatty Driving Change Stars Awards. We are truly honoured to have been Highly Commended in not just one, but two award categories! This event was more than an awards ceremony—it was a chance to connect with our Highways colleagues, celebrate the extraordinary achievements of our peers, and reflect on the impactful work we’ve accomplished together. A huge congratulations to all the winners and nominees, and thank you to Balfour Beatty for organising such a fantastic evening that highlights the hard work and dedication of so many.

Our regional partnership with Ringway is going from strength to strength and we wanted to celebrate everything they have done so far. The year started out with a number of Ringway employees volunteering in CHSW charity shops and since then they have been unstoppable! We were invited to join a Ringway Lunch and Learn session, after which there was a flurry of interest in fundraising and volunteering. We also received an offer of highways operational support at some of our events, including our recent RUN Barnstaple series, where support was also provided from National Highways, Balfour Beatty plc and CD Fencing & Construction Services Ltd.    In the summer £1000 was raised through their 'Steps to Health' campaign organised as part of the National Highways SW Community supply chain.   When asked why Ringway is so committed to supporting CHSW, Divisional Manager Karin Harwood said; “It is an honour and privilege to support Children’s Hospice South West as our chosen charity, without organisations like this children and young people with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions would not receive the support and care they desperately need."   Focus is now turning to the festive season when Ringway are planning to do a Festive £50 Challenge with teams from all 15 Ringway depots taking part.
