Join us for our next conference 'Innovations in Circular Economy: Learning from Welsh Organisations 2025' to learn about innovations in the realm of circular economy in Wales. This is an opportunity for practitioners from across the public and private sector to network and knowledge share to create a Circular Economy eco-system across South Wales. 📅 Tuesday 18th February 2025 🕤 9:30am-13:00 pm 📍 Principality Stadium (Westgate St, Cardiff, CF10 1NS) ➡ https://lnkd.in/g6MeEghd #UKSPF
"If someone tells you they've been to Tenerife, don't tell them to you've been to 'Eleven-erife'!" Yesterday we held the empathy session for our current Cardiff Capital Region CEIC cohort 11. This is an important step of the #innovation journey and the design-thinking process. Active listening, immersing yourself into the other person's experience and being curious are important skills to master the empathy phase of the innovation process. Participants also learnt about the importance of not making assumptions and seeking to confirm what they already know when trying to understand the problem they are trying to solve and implementing long-term #circular solutions. The highlight of yesterday's session was the site visit and tour of the The Royal Mint. It was great to see the precious metal recovery site and learn how these materials are recovered from discarded electronic devices and circuit boards. Thank you to Alex Collier, Bethan Ellis and Lloyd Cornish for organising this. And finally, there was cake as well 🍰 #UKSPF #circulareconomy #cleangrowth
