That’s a wrap! ✨ We are so happy with what has been achieved this last weeks and emotional to see the response of the audience who have experienced the work. The last performance was just magical. Thank you. 🤍🌊 𝔇𝔢𝔰𝔱𝔦𝔫𝔞𝔱𝔦𝔬𝔫 𝔈𝔞𝔯𝔱𝔥 is an immersive installation weaving together data of the sea, the power of technology and poetry of human experience through realtime visuals, music and movement. In this moment of urgency, with warming waters impacting global circulation and sea mammal survival, 𝔇𝔢𝔰𝔱𝔦𝔫𝔞𝔱𝔦𝔬𝔫 𝔈𝔞𝔯𝔱𝔥 invites us to pause and listen back to the deep and ancient pulse of the sea. Each step we take in space, every movement of our bodies, has an impact onto the ocean portal, rising tension or soothing currents, giving life to a melody and visual generated in real-time, unique to each performance. The ocean, like our bodies, needs time to heal. WeWALK is on a mission to enhance the mobility of visually impaired people with cutting-edge technology driven by their lived and professional experience of visual impairment. We were honoured to be invited to redesign their V1 Smart Cane. It was such a wonderful journey working in co-design with the team, visually impaired participants and mobility trainers. Our brief was to work in improved ergonomy, usability and overall aesthetic. Together with WeWALK engineers, we reworked the sound spatialisation, haptics design, and reduced overall shape to get as close as possible to a traditional white cane in the shape, weight and hand gestures. This was done in response to user research to increase haptics sensation, avoid risk of wrist fatigue, improve sensorial experience and confidence for users who have used a white cane all their life. 🤍 WeWALK's patented technology smart cane improves safety and independence with obstacle detection, accessible multimodal navigation, and public transport integration. WeWALK has already impacted lives in over 59 countries and has been recognised as a TIME Best Invention, Amazon's Startup of the Year, and an Edison Gold Award. The cultivation of environmental and collective empathy is essential to sustainability. Music is one of the most powerful tools to communicate and create empathy. ‘Synchronies’ , which premiered at MIRA Festival is an invitation to dive in the sonic connection between our bodies and the earth, to help us understand better the planet we live in and inhabit everyday. Synchronies use 360 sound, biophonic, geophonic and anthropogenic field recordings, heart rate real time capture and interactive lighting for an immersive intimate poetic technologic experience.
