💡 Increasing the capacity and capability of our domestic offshore wind supply chain will be crucial in delivering the UK’s #CleanEnergy transition. Today, we’re announcing that 13 successful organisations are set to share nearly £5m in #funding from The Crown Estate through the initial round of our Supply Chain Accelerator, which launched in May. This funding will help kick-start important projects in the #OffshoreWind #SupplyChain, ranging from those enabling floating wind platform and anchoring and mooring systems, to those supporting the #skills transition. Our match funding will contribute to a combined development #investment of over £9m which, if the opportunities successfully conclude their respective development stages, could lead to more than £400m of capital investment. Some lead, some empower, some reimagine. Our outgoing chair, Roger Maggs MBE, was the combination of all three in equal measure. Over the past two years, we have been grateful to share the stage with Roger. He always conducted his business with good humour and the most thoughtful of contributions, regardless of the challenge. The strength of the Celtic Freeport partnership today as he hands the baton on to Ed Tomp is testament to his excellent work. #thankyou
