Today was Centara Ltd - Surveying, Engineering and CAD annual Health and Saftey Standdown day, part of RSK Group Safety Month. Our team met at Featherstone Rovers RLFC for workshops on the themes of 'Be Prepared' and 'Healthy Desk Based Work'. We had a really interactive day with lots great contributions from the whole team. We also took the opportunity whilst all together to discuss positive Mental Health and Wellbeing with a talk from brilliant guest speaker, Luke Ambler CEO of Ambler Training Group, who is also the founder of the superb charity #ANDYSMANCLUB who provide safe spaces throughout the UK for Men to discuss whatever 'storm' maybe affecting them. Thanks to Luke and all the team for their contributions to a very worthwhile and positive event.

Shocking video of fence post been driven through a high pressure gas main in Derbyshire, 2 million kg of gas escaped, fortunately the gas did not ignite. The incident could of been avoided by following the correct #HSG47 guidance procedures, including undertaking a Utility Records Searches and on site utility surveys to #PAS128. Bathymetric Surveys - Under Water Mapping In the same way that topographic maps represent the three-dimensional features (or relief) of overland terrain, bathymetric surveys illustrate the bed surface that lies underwater. Variations in lake, river or canal beds relief may be depicted by color and contour lines called depth contours or isobaths. Centara's in house surveying team carries these #surveys using the #HyDrone-RCV radio control sonar system and Terrestrial Survey Instruments. The example in the images shows a typical output.
