Not only are these donations helping to provide free, compassionate palliative care to the eastern Hertfordshire community, but they are also diverting tons of waste from landfill. We were delighted to kick start the festive season yesterday by hosting the Christmas Pop Up Shop by Isabel Hospice. Set up in our staff diner, the Christmas Shop offered a wonderful gifting range consisting of confectionary, coasters and hot water bottles for our team to shop during lunchtime. The top selling items were the Christmas cards and winter socks - which actually sold out! Having supported Isabel Hospice for many years, we loved having a new opportunity to raise funds for this vital charity whilst providing something different for our team to enjoy. When Kip met Kip! I popped in to see Kip Bell-Heather of Chapman Ventilation Limited this morning to drop-off their official BESA Group Membership certificate and some festive treats! As an indicator of their continued excellence and compliance, the certificate will be displayed proudly in their reception.

As longstanding partners of Peach 20/20, Nigel and Kip enjoyed a fantastic evening at their Hero & Icon 2024 Awards on 18 November. Held at new venue Convene Sancroft in the City of London, the event was attended by executives, entrepreneurs and influencers from across the UK hospitality scene. This year, the annual awards ceremony not only recognised the best in the industry, but also marked its 20th year anniversary, which is a truly fantastic achievement. Once again, we were delighted to attend and sponsor the annual R200 Awards. Created by Restaurant Magazine, this years event was held at Hawksmoor, Canary Wharf. The ceremony is a notable highlight for the UK restaurant scene as it celebrates excellence in the sector and the winners are decided by industry professionals. As Partners of R200, we were proud to sponsor the Innovation category and present the award to Rockfish for their Virtual Fishmonger. Congratulations to all of the 2024 winners!

On Remembrance Day, the Chapman Ventilation team joined the rest of the country to pause for two minutes to honour all of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.  As long standing supporters of the Armed Forces, we are proud to be Gold Award Holders of the Employer Recognition Scheme and signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant. We appreciate all of those in our Armed Forces for their Service to our Country, and hold the families and friends of those service men and women who sacrificed their lives, in our thoughts. As an industry leading HVAC business we are keen to promote World Ventilation Day on the 8th November. With nearly 60 years’ experience designing, manufacturing, installing, and maintaining bespoke HVAC solutions in the hospitality industry, we recognise the importance of this day for our industry and for the community. The theme for 2024 is “Enabling Action” and talking about all the things that are great about ventilation. We are delighted to have joined BESA Group Contractor Membership!

Here at Chapman Ventilation we pride ourselves on the commitment and care we have for our employees and understand the importance of mental wellbeing. Today we highlighted #WorldMentalHealthDay in the office and used the opportunity to provide a special pancake breakfast for the whole team and raise awareness of the mental health advice and support that is available in the workplace, and also externally. Earlier this year, we provided training for all of our Management Team to become Mental Health Wellbeing Champions. Working alongside our two qualified Mental Health First Aiders, our Mental Health Wellbeing Champions are leading the way to ensure a positive workplace culture. We are grateful for the vital role they play in providing a listening ear and guiding colleagues to external sources of support. As we are aware of the importance of good mental health, we will continue to demonstrate support and raise awareness of mental health wellbeing for our team. #WMHD2024
