We were pleased to welcome members from Brentford Football Club to West Middlesex Hospital for #RestartAHeartDay. As part of the club's Heart of West London campaign, players Max Wilcox and Conor McManus practised their #CPR skills to raise awareness of basic life saving training, encouraging staff and hospital visitors to get involved. Thanks to the support of our donors and the #CW+Grants team, we donated new training defibrillators for sessions like this. Thank you to the players for visiting us, and to the wellbeing team at Brentford FC Community Sports Trust for making this happen. Lily Bertrand-Webb is a London-based photographer. She created bespoke digital artworks for the new Adult Therapy Department at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, helping to transform this lower-ground-floor unit into a light, bright space with a connection to nature. Lily recently visited the hospital to see her beautiful artwork in its new home. She told us about her creative process, and why this commission was so special to her. Head to our website to read more about the project or to donate to our #ArtsInHealth programme via the link below. https://lnkd.in/gYsfz9Q4 #DesignAndEnvironment #CeilingPanels #FilmPhotography

A couple of years ago we decided to make the business more purpose driven. We had always had an ethical approach but we pivoted towards really focusing on creating work that makes the world a better place. It often feels like successful business and ethics don’t go hand in hand, especially in the creative sector where the higher paying jobs often come from clients with dubious agendas. Turning down work that doesn’t resonate with your values is hard - you know in the short term it will hit your bottom line. I wouldn’t say this is a culmination of that journey because we still have a lot to do. But seeing one of our favourite projects on the huge screen in Piccadilly Circus last week felt like the world giving us a little nod to say ‘Yes, you are on the right path my friends’. A massive thank you to Sarah, Andrew, Annabel, Rosalind, James, Coda Post Production, CW+ charity, for making the project such a success and such a pleasure to work on. And a big thank you to the Big Syn awards for all the purpose driven work they are doing in creating a platform to showcase projects like this. ✨Last night we joined our partners, NHS Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board (SNEE) and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (CWFT) to celebrate their nominations at the HSJ Awards 2024 ✨ Following the implementation of DERM, SNEE were nominated for Provider Collaborative of the Year and CWFT for Driving Efficiency Through Technology. The awards evening hosted by Dara Ó Briain, brought together more than 1,700 health and social care professionals to shine a light on excellence within the sector. A big well done to our partners who's hard work is driving earlier skin cancer diagnosis and sustainability within their systems 🦾 As The Rt. Hon. Wes Streeting MP said in his speech yesterday evening, 'let's bring the best of the NHS to the rest of the NHS'. It was a really successful evening for #CWInnovation at the Health Service Journal 2024 awards. Congratulations to our fantastic #CWInnovation partner AcuPebble for winning the Modernising Diagnostic Award. We provided funding for the AcuPebble wearable medical devices for the diagnosis of sleep apnoea via a CW+ grant, and CW Innovation has supported the project. Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust was also a finalist in the Driving Efficiency Through Technology category, through its partnership with Skin Analytics. #CWInnovation has worked alongside colleagues in the dermatology service at the Trust on DERM, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool, to support our urgent skin cancer pathway at the Trust, since 2022. Well done everyone! #HSJAwards #Partners #Teamwork Chris Chaney, Michael Wright, Christina Sothinathan 🇮🇪🇱🇰🇬🇧 , Dexter Wiseman

Zheyuan Zhang graduated from the Royal College of Art and Imperial College and is a digital designer working on interactive artwork for wellbeing. He is currently pursuing a PhD at Imperial College London. His research, funded by CW+, focuses on how design interventions improve the wellbeing of healthcare professionals at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Zheyuan recently displayed his work, Flow, at Dutch Design Week . Flow is an interactive digital installation that simulates the natural movement and rhythm of water, recreating tidal waves that rise and fall rhythmically. The installation interacts with the spectator’s movements and facial expressions, inviting participants to reflect on and become attuned to their bodies and emotions. Flow has now been installed in one of the sleep pods provided by CW+ in Greenhaven - an indoor garden at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital that offers staff a place to relax and unwind.
