We’re proud to celebrate the ground-breaking work led by Ir Prof P L Yuen, Past Vice President of CIBSE, whose visionary leadership played a pivotal role in the creation of the world's first high-standard negative-pressure isolation ward using Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) technology. Developed at lightning speed during the COVID-19 pandemic, this state-of-the-art facility showcases how innovation in engineering can directly address global public health challenges. Designed for efficiency, sustainability, and infection control, this project has become a global benchmark in healthcare infrastructure. A huge congratulations to Prof Yuen and the wider engineering community for setting such a remarkable example of excellence, collaboration, and ingenuity. 🔗 Learn more about this extraordinary project at https://buff.ly/4fObjFw #WeAreCIBSE #EngineeringInnovation #HealthcareEngineering #ModularConstruction

Great things happen when the industry works together! The UK NZC Buildings Standard (UKNZCBS) was developed through an unprecedented collaboration among industry leaders, including CIBSE. This partnership built on existing frameworks, such as the CIBSE-LETI Net Zero FAQs, to create a unified and practical approach to achieving net zero. “This collaboration is fantastic. It's rare to see such a significant outcome from cross-industry groups,” says Julie Godefroy, CIBSE Head of Net Zero Policy.
