We’re proud to support the UN-led International Day of People with Disabilities, advocating for the inclusion and active participation of disabled people in our profession. With 1 in 5 people in the UK having a long-term illness, impairment or disability, it's vital we build more inclusive workplaces where disabled people are represented at all levels and involved in key decision-making. Our latest EDI guide on Disability allyship & advocacy provides PR professionals with practical strategies to do just that, with tips on how to support colleagues, create meaningful change, and progress from an ally to advocate. Download here: https://lnkd.in/ekyWxjqd To further support this mission, we've also curated a few more practical resources to help you embed inclusion in your organisation: 📊 CIPR Research Fund – Achieving consistent accessibility and inclusion in public sector operation practice: https://lnkd.in/e-AtEguy 🔍 Scope – 5 ways to create a disability inclusive workplace: https://lnkd.in/ePJh9pfS 📚 Disability Rights UK – Understanding intersectionality and inclusion in disability advocacy: https://lnkd.in/eSE8BRAi 💻 WebAIM – Digital accessibility fundamentals: https://lnkd.in/eKDbeaW Together, we can build a profession that not only includes but actively champions disabled people's rights, achievements and perspectives. #internationaldayofpeoplewithdisabilities #ipdp #IDPWD
