Is your organisation ready for Scope 3 reporting requirements? While the #EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) has been the hot topic in Scope 3 emissions, it’s actually the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) framework that most countries worldwide are adopting. 🌍 With mandatory Scope 3 legislation taking different forms across regions - each with unique scopes and timelines - standardised reporting is expected to provide financial services with clearer #ESG criteria and greater transparency. This will be crucial for economy-wide decarbonisation efforts. But here’s the challenge - measuring Scope 3 emissions is tough. It requires deep knowledge of climate science and lifecycle analysis to capture the full cradle-to-gate impact across complex, globalised supply chains. 🔍 At City Science, we’re helping organisations navigate these complexities and align their procurement and supply chains with a #NetZero future. I recently wrote an article covering: - Key aspects of the new Scope 3 legislation 📜 - The impact it will have on organisations 📊 - Practical steps to ensure your organisation is prepared ✅ 👉 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gmr4rtZV We’d love to hear from you - how is your organisation tackling Scope 3 emissions? Drop your thoughts in the comments or send me a message to discuss how we can support your sustainability journey! 💬 #Sustainability #ClimateAction #SupplyChain #CarbonFootprint #Decarbonisation #SustainableBusiness

How can organisations reduce emissions they don't directly control? It’s a question that’s becoming increasingly urgent as businesses navigate the complexities of #Scope3 emissions. With these emissions typically making up the lion’s share of a company’s carbon footprint, it’s clear that addressing Scope 3 is critical for achieving meaningful progress toward a #NetZero future. But how do you tackle emissions that arise from activities outside your direct control, like those in your supply chain? We recently hosted a webinar, “Mastering Supply Chain Decarbonisation: A Practical Guide”, where we delved into this very topic. The session covered: - Scope 3 measurement methodologies to ensure robust and credible data. - Practical supplier engagement strategies to build collaborative, impactful partnerships. - Procurement strategies to align purchasing decisions with your sustainability goals. You can watch the full webinar via the link here: https://lnkd.in/enKAea6c We’d love to hear your thoughts—what challenges or successes have you experienced in reducing Scope 3 emissions? 💡 💬 Drop your thoughts in the comments or send me a direct message if you'd like to discuss how to tackle your supply chain emissions and drive meaningful climate action. Let’s work together to shape a sustainable future! 🌍 #Sustainability #Decarbonisation #ClimateAction #GHGEmissions #SupplyChain
