Honouring Family Business Week 2024, we celebrate the legacy of our founder, Michael J. Clancy, who laid the foundation for our success back in 1958. Today, with second and third-generation family members at the helm, Clancy remains a financially stable company with a £1.6bn order book—proof that family values and professionalism are the keys to longevity. We’re proud to carry on this legacy for our workforce, our clients, and the communities we serve. #FamilyBusinessWeek2024 #Clancy #BuiltOnValues

From humble beginnings to an infrastructure powerhouse - Clancy's 66-year journey is nothing short of extraordinary. Founded in 1958 by Michael J. Clancy, the business started in Wembley as a small contractor tackling drainage and roadworks. Fast forward to 2024, and Clancy is delivering multimillion-pound projects for clients like Southern Water, Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks, and UK Power Networks - cementing its status as one of the UK’s most trusted infrastructure specialists. In 2023-24, Clancy posted record-breaking results for the sixth consecutive year: ✅ £378.5 million turnover (up 13%) ✅ £20.9 million pre-tax profit (a 54.8% increase!) ✅ A robust £1.5 billion order book securing long-term growth. Clancy doesn’t just build; it evolves - reinvesting £11.2 million in cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art equipment to boost productivity and efficiency. This commitment empowers its teams to deliver vital infrastructure, including HS2 (High Speed Two) Ltd bridge foundations and track drainage. Under CEO Matthew Cannon, the third generation of Clancy leadership, the company remains fiercely committed to its people, partnerships, and purpose. Whether driving the green transition, expanding water frameworks for AMP8, or pioneering industry-first innovations (microtunneling in 1990!), Clancy keeps raising the bar. From a one-man band to an infrastructure dynasty, Clancy proves family values and bold ambition can shape the nation’s future. Cheers to 66 years of building better! 👉 Want more stories like this? Clancy continues to support charities near and far. This week 10 colleagues from across the energy, water, plant and civil engineering business are in South Africa as part of the Mellon Educate Building Blitz programme - building much needed schools just outside Cape Town. The Clancy Foundation donated to the Mellon programme and the team also raised over £25,000 collectively to ensure their places too and we hope they have the best experience on their trip. Wishing the team of 10 volunteers from across Clancy who the foundation has sponsored for this amazing trip and fantastic experience. Stay safe, work hard and do brilliantly for us all. Thank you to everyone who has sponsored the individuals and helped them raise £50k for the charity. Next stop Cape Town!

Well, it’s that time of year again-our Annual Building Blitz week is now upon us. We have 420 volunteers traveling with us from The US, Ireland, and the UK. Each of our fellow volunteers will be heading to Cape Town at the end of this week and we wish you smooth and safe travels. Some information on the 2 schools that will benefit from our volunteers hard work and your unwavering support of our cause is as follows: This year we will be working on 2 primary schools in Lwandle, one of Cape Town’s smaller townships, which is located outside Strand in the Western Cape of South Africa. Also known as Nomzamo, this township has a population well in excess of 60,000 (2011 census) and it is estimated that 60% of inhabitants are unemployed. UMNOOPHISO PRIMARY SCHOOL is currently attended by 1,471 learners and is served by 40 teachers. Volunteers will be building 6 classrooms, 1 learning support classroom, a Literacy Hub, a kitchen, a toilet block, 2 covered shelters, 1 play park and an extension of the vegetable/kitchen garden. SILUKHANYO PRIMARY SCHOOL has 1,343 learners in attendance each day and is served by 38 teachers. Here volunteers will be building 6 classrooms, 4 Grade R classrooms, 1 learning support classroom, a Literacy Hub, a kitchen, 3 covered shelters and a playpark. So, at this time we would like to say thank you to each and every supporter of our 2024 Building Blitz. Your donations are much appreciated and will benefit the children and their families in Lwandle for generations to come. Thank you! Mellon Educate #buildingblitz

Our commitment to social value and giving back to the communities we work in is at the heart of the Clancy Way. It's great to see this come to life with a project over the past week (Oct 26th to Nov 4th) at Campsbourne Primary School to ensure a tired, barely used outdoor area got transformed into an amazing space for the children to play. It wasn't only a fresh lick of paint, but a whole lot of timber work and roof replacement. The space is not only much nicer, it's safer too for the teachers and pupils to enjoy in the winter and summer. Thank you to all the team involved. The headteacher at the school was delighted with the outcome! Come and work for a company that makes time to give back - check out the latest jobs at https://ow.ly/9IAT50U1ukM
