I have had a lot of new connections recently, so I have written a poem (yes a poem!) that lets people know a little about me... I have two left feet and can't dance People often say "Zut alors" to me in France I like to write quirky LinkedIn posts That are self deprecating, not boasts When I am not accounting I like to go climb a mountain Watching football is my passion Even when St Mirren are getting a lashing My faithful companion is Joey my dog Without him I would be lost in a fog We enjoy our long walks Where we have our "best friend" talks Numbers dance around my brain I do hard sums in my head to entertain Me myself and I can recite the first hundred numbers of π We have amazing team at Clarity I am so lucky because I know that is a rarity However Katie, Niamh and my family are my number one Because that is all that matters, when all is said and All is done

Why hire professionals when you can do the job yourself? YOUR MISSION (should you chose to accept it): Myself and Marcus Goodwin were tasked with moving the boardroom television from our old office into our swanky new office. No problem for two big strapping lads we said, we will be back in about half an hour. THE RESULT – MISSION FAILED. We returned almost two hours later - broken men, me with no shoes on, both covered in and smelling of poo and one very broken telly. THE FLASHBACK – it all started to go wrong when we decided not to remove the tv from the stand (only to have to reattach it later). Using my high school trigonometry skills I had carefully calculated the angle of entry into the back of my car. It was an incredibly tight squeeze, but we did it, but only to find the boot wouldn’t close – with the base of the stand sticking out. At this horrifying point, we realised we must have steered the stand through some dog poo. It and looked like were reversed over it several times, as the bottom of the stand was covered in it. We had also walked in it. I fear for the poor dog that had defecated this monstrosity, as the smell was unbearable. Without any cleaning materials, the only thing we could find to clear up was an old umbrella, which being unabsorbant only spread the poo around. We eventually got the tv out of the car, unattached from the stand, cleaned it properly and then put it back in the car. The drive to the new office was unpleasant to say the least. The festering smell of poo giving us the dry boak. We drove in stoic silence. No words were needed. We knew we had failed. We were more like the Chuckle brothers rather than Tom Cruise. The final humiliation, my trainers were beyond saving, so ended up in a public bin in West George Street. To add insult to injury -when we plugged the TV in at the new office it was all smashed internally. MISSION DEBRIEF: Katie couldn’t keep a straight face as she called us “a pair of fuds” POSTSCRIPT: We needed a new tv, for a morning meeting, so it was a mad dash to Argos (my favourite shop) before it closed, and we didn’t have time to go home. I had to stand outside shamelessly and watch Katie struggle to carry the massive box that the 55” TV came in -as she quite rightly pointed out, no one in their right mind was going to hand over an expensive TV (prepaid for collection) to the crazy looking guy with no shoes, one sock ( I seemed also to have lost a sock somewhere in the debacle) who smelled like he’d been sleeping under a bridge for months. This message will self destruct in 5 seconds 💣 💣

🎉 First Day in Our New Office! 🎉 Yesterday marked our first day in our shiny new office, and what a day it was! ✅ Lovely visitors stopped by to say hello 🍴 Local lunch spots were explored (and approved!) ☕ And after some trial and error, the coffee machine is finally up and running—though we won’t be moonlighting at Starbucks anytime soon! Moving office during the busiest month of the year was no small feat, but we’re thrilled with how seamless the transition has been.
