  • At our joint conference with Driving for Better Business, we had a panel discussion on supply chain compliance. Our speakers were Sarah Richards from HS2 (High Speed Two) Ltd and a CLOCS CLP trainer, Jon Holder from Laing O'Rourke and CLOCS Strategy, Standards and Governance Board (SSGB) member and Ruth Trant from DGP plc, a CLOCS SSGB member and SATM Trainer. The chair of the session was Adrian Boughtflower FCILT, from Mace Group and Chair of the CLOC SSGB. The discussion focused on the need for authentic top-down leadership as part of the driver safety culture. This is becoming increasingly important as clients seek to raise standards throughout their own supply chains, and entire sectors, by using the tendering process for new work to filter out those that can’t demonstrate good-practice management of driver safety. We have developed a useful resource which you can download here: https://lnkd.in/eKtq9ut7 This guide provides strategies to manage and monitor performance, signposting related documents and tools, and recommends actions to deal with non-compliance. Appropriate for regulators, clients and developers, and principal contractors to ensure that any sub-contracted work also meets the CLOCS Standard and what to expect in circumstances of non-compliance.
