"If we're going to tackle the housing crisis and get our economy growing, SME's need to be part of the solution" Daniel Joyce, Deputy MD talks to Show House magazine about how the adverse economic conditions we've seen over recent years are impacting SME housebuilders, causing their numbers to further dwindle, allowing the larger national housebuilders to increase their share of the market. As a lender who has been supporting housebuilders for over 50 years, at Close Brothers Property Finance we stand with SME's and we hope the Government will support these resilient and resourceful businesses, so they can help achieve these ambitious housing targets. #SMEHousebuilders #NewHomes #SupportingSmallBusinesses https://lnkd.in/eb-FZFZy

Close Brothers is proud to celebrate International Men’s Day, a time to promote conversations about men’s roles in society to help make a positive difference to the wellbeing and lives of men and boys. This Thursday, our Gender Balance, Mental Wellbeing, Unity, and Working Parents and Carers networks will host a “facts and snacks” session at our Crown Place office where they will discuss a variety of topics such as men’s social experiences, mental health and parenting. The session will then be followed by a panel event hosted by the Gender Balance and Mental Wellbeing networks for colleagues in person and virtually, where they will discuss how the expectations for men have changed over time and generations. #CloseBrothers #InternationalMensDay #GenderBalance #MentalWellbeing #Unity #WorkingParentsandCarers

Last night saw the third Women in Property 🏡 event at our Crown Place office in London. It was great to see such a strong turn out of women in the industry as well as a record number of male allies. Thank you to our wonderful panel of speakers Helen Moore, Rosey Cassidy, Kim Opszala and Edwin de Silva, as well as Bethany Fisher who did a fantastic job chairing the lively discussion. The panel shared their insights on topics ranging from the ‘she-cession’; returning to the workplace after maternity leave; how employers can support employees going through the menopause and the importance of self-advocacy and allyship in the workplace. Following the panel discussion, guests enjoyed networking over drinks and canapés, including macarons from the amazing Miss Macaroon, which donates all of its profits to helping young people gain the skills they need to get started in their careers ✨ A huge thank you to everyone who came along and we look forward to welcoming you back to our next event. #WomenInProperty #DiversityAndInclusion #Empowerment #GenderEquality #FemaleLeadership #PropertyIndustry #Inspiration #Networking #WomensVoices #BreakingBarriers #CBWomenInProperty Daniel Joyce

"𝑁𝑜𝑡 𝑎 𝑓𝑎𝑐𝑒𝑙𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑏𝑎𝑛𝑘" Continuity matters - having one point of contact throughout the lending process that is maintained from one project to the next helps our team build strong and lasting relationships with our customers. In this video, Jamesy Hagan, owner of Seventh Developments shares his experience as a Close Brothers borrower, filmed at a development in Northern Ireland we were delighted to support. #RelationshipLender #50YearsofLending #Partnership Gary Ferris

In the lead up to Remembrance Day, the Veterans Network has begun a Movement Challenge to fundraise for The Not Forgotten. The Network’s goal is to walk, run, row, cycle and/or swim the equivalent distance between Land's End, Dublin, John o' Groats, London and back to Land's End. Colleagues are encouraged to join the Network in this Movement Challenge. The Not Forgotten supports any serving individual who is wounded, injured, or sick and any veteran with a disability, illness, or infirmity; whatever the cause and whenever it arose. It focuses on combatting loneliness and isolation, a problem which is particularly common among veterans and the Armed Forces community. Good luck to the Network and colleagues taking part. #CloseBrothers #Veterans #RemembranceDay #Charity
