Big thanks to the team at Comar Fluid Power for assisting me in completing our bid on time for our first major project with Boeing. Just being invited to bid was a big deal for us, let’s see how we do.

As an old colleague Mel Peel used to say, "Contacts = Contracts." Today, I had the pleasure of introducing one of my military clients to Richard Coupe of ZwickRoell UK & Ireland to assist with some component failure testing. While I can't disclose the part due to its critical nature, I can share that it's causing issues in the field. Comar Fluid Power is teaming up with ZwickRoell to offer a solution that will first confirm the failure case on the existing component and then prove the life cycle of the newly designed component. Comar will design and manufacture the test and clamping fixtures, and the material testing will be carried out by ZwickRoell in Germany. We may even utilize the GOM camera system, a live FEA camera, which is extremely impressive. How's your week going so far? Much like this F-35, our week at Comar Fluid Power has taken off in spectacular fashion! 🚀 Preparation for a customer visit tomorrow is in full effect, our design team is operating at Mach 1.6 just like the F-35, and our engineering team is performing their magic up and down the country. Today is a little bit special for Damien & Callum as they spend the whole day with QHP Ltd, kindly organised by Jason Cartwright. Having been fundamental in delivering a massively successful accumulator service contract this year, it’s only fitting that they learn about the manufacturing process and meet the hardworking team behind the scenes. This experience will further enhance our ability to deliver top-notch service to our clients. 🚀 Another action-packed day at Comar Fluid Power! Tomorrow is definitely earmarked as a "Catch up and breath day" after today's whirlwind of activity. 🛠️ Two of our engineers are out in the field, working hard on our Challenger 3 project with Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land (RBSL). This project is nearing completion, and I'm thrilled to say it's been a resounding success, solidifying a strong client relationship that bodes well for future opportunities. 💡 I have a productive quality meeting with Alison Pitchford, focusing on streamlining a process that's been feeling a bit cumbersome lately. At Comar, our approach to the quality system is all about efficiency - it should work for us, not against us. 🤝 I also have a session with Limble CMMS, collaborating with the talented Ann Chase to develop a system that suits our needs perfectly. It's all about making technology work for us! 🏗️ And as if that wasn't enough, we welcomed a cohort from Rolls-Royce to discuss our current major project and showcase the progress we've made so far. 💼 With three team members enjoying an extended bank holiday and another working remotely, it's been all hands on deck today. 🌟 Turning Negativity into Positivity 🌟 In a world that sometimes feels overshadowed by negativity, I wanted to share a heartwarming story that brightened our day at Comar Fluid Power. We've had a bit of a pallet surplus challenge lately – they seem to multiply faster than we can find uses for them! Typically, they end up being sold or are destined for a November bonfire. However, this time, one of our ingenious engineers, Callum, decided to take a different approach. He took to Facebook Marketplace offering up our surplus pallets, hoping someone could give them a new lease on life. That's when Grant Hilditch and Rob Jones from Severndale Academy caught wind of our post. They reached out, expressing their interest in repurposing the pallets for their learners' projects. Needless to say, we were thrilled to oblige! In just a matter of days, our pallet mountain vanished, finding a new home where it could inspire creativity and innovation. Today, we were moved to receive heartfelt letters of gratitude from children at the academy, thanking us for our contribution. Callum, your initiative and outside-the-box thinking have truly made a difference. It's moments like these that remind us of the power of kindness and collaboration. So, why have we achieved this? 🔹 Strong Supplier Partnership: A big shoutout to QHP Ltd! Their unwavering support provides us with competitive prices and timely stock levels, enabling us to be agile and responsive in the market. 🔹 Dedicated Team: Our Comar Fluid Power team is nothing short of amazing!
