At Community Energy Scotland we work with community groups, supporting, promoting and representing the community energy sector by providing technical assistance, knowledge sharing & championing the role of community-led action in the transition to a low-carbon future.
We were set up initially to help communities make the most of opportunities available to them through sustainable energy development; this has expanded to wider decarbonisation work.
Community Energy Scotland is Scotland’s only national charity dedicated to supporting communities across the country to develop their own decarbonisation & renewable energy projects. We aim to advance community development and help strengthen environmental protection within Scotland, and by providing advice and/or financial support we also assist in preventing and/or relieving poverty.
