Innovating in complex systems is a challenging endeavor that requires a wide variety of ideas, skills, and methods - as well as personal tributes and competencies. Thus systems innovation must exist at the intersection of many different areas and disciplines. This graphic illustrates all the ideas and methods we try to quipe people with on their journey to becoming systems innovators. If you want to learn more about them they are all explained in the Si Concept Cards and Guides. Guides: https://lnkd.in/ehjTpCME Cards: https://lnkd.in/eSqvVMtA

The paradigm we adopt and how we look at the world matters hugely. The current reductionist paradigm leads us down the pathway of looking at things in separation, as finite stocks that are being used unsustainably. A systems paradigm would start by looking at relationships - the way we are relating to the ecosystem and trying to transform the quality of that relationship. This is one of the themes we are exploring in our hub, you are welcome to join: https://lnkd.in/exuhHqCt

“In order for global culture to be infused with regenerative societal practices and for new systemic literacy’s and patterns to take root that foster “anti-fragility”, these practices must become massively distributed skill-sets, mastered by a critical mass of people within the population [through] educational prototypes and learning ecosystems that support personal, collective and global thrivability” https://lnkd.in/eYsrkkVc

Over the past ten years at Si, we have been developing a whole suite of resources for learning and teaching systems thinking: guides, video courses, concept cards, canvases, etc. Today we want to spotlight some of these for those wishing to learn more, teach, or run workshops applying these ideas. You can find all the education resources here: https://lnkd.in/eD8M2NJv The tools here: https://lnkd.in/eKhPcJXu

"Transformations to sustainability are not about finding a single way forward but about recognizing that there are many paths." - Lead author Simon West Walking together in a world of many worlds "This new study underscores the importance of incorporating diverse voices, perspectives and relationships in the conversations about sustainability. To embody this approach, the authors have made their work available as an “open review” online, inviting others to 'add to, critique, and transform it in the years ahead as discussions around relational approaches continue to evolve'." https://lnkd.in/eXiYSBWT
