We recently held a Recycle for Good event in conjunction with our customer, Santander. The two-day event took place at Santander’s Unity Place and was offered to Santander UK employees along with the general public and wider Milton Keynes community. After an impressive turnout, we counted up almost 200 phones, 50 tablets, 75 laptops and 10 desktops – plus hundreds of smaller items including cables, webcams, headphones and mice. Some interesting technology items were handed in – including an Apple Mac desktop from the 1980s! The Recycle for Good scheme encourages our customers to seek out redundant technology items around their homes and use them to help fight the global e-waste challenge. With up to 880 million redundant tech items in the UK, our innovative program helps keep some of this equipment out of landfill and aids in the recovery of precious raw materials. We’re proud to support our customers with their sustainability goals via our Circular Services, helping them take action to maximise the life and value of their legacy equipment.
