To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Moxon, we’re excited to share the first photos of Small Dean Viaduct, currently under construction in the Chilterns as part of HS2.   Small Dean is one of 15 viaducts currently under construction by EKFB, the multidisciplinary team responsible for the design and construction of 80km of high-speed railway. This includes 81 bridges, three tunnels and many other structures most of which are set low in the rural landscape.   Both Moxon’s London and Scotland studios are part of the EFKB team and the importance of teamwork, inherent to Moxon’s core values since our incorporation 20 years ago, is writ large on this project and to remarkable effect.   Also shown are the HS2 viaducts at Wendover, Thame Valley and Edgcote. Each is being designed and built with incredible care and precision, resulting in functional but also beautifully sculptural infrastructure.   On completion, the construction compounds will be removed, and landscape returned - leaving a narrow strip of railway surrounded by fields, hedgerows and water meadows.   Eiffage Kier Ferrovial BAM (EKFB)  HS2 (High Speed Two) Ltd
