We've wrapped up our summer series of national clinical study days this week, having recently held 3 regional in-person group sessions to provide an opportunity for colleagues to deepen their clinical understanding, improve decision making and clinical practice. Connect regularly hold sessions like these as part of our 5% minimum protected professional development time for clinical colleagues. They provide an opportunity to exchange ideas, share best practice and learn together across different services, clinical specialties and professional disciplines, and have resulted in many quality improvement developments being implemented across the business. In November 2022, we co-delivered our National Study Day with Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Alliance (ARMA) that resulted in all services developing a ‘Local Health Inequalities Action Plan’. Acknowledged as a pioneer in this space, Connect has also been featured in ARMA's 'Act Now' report - the first ever national inquiry into MSK health inequalities. Nick Livadas, Clinical Delivery Lead, and Hal Brace, Operations Manager, were invited to attend the Parliamentary launch of this report earlier in the year. Read more here 👉 https://lnkd.in/egbKHQDi

We've got the Monday blues... it's been a week now since we hosted our second and final CPD event in collaboration with our colleagues at Flippin' Pain and our Monday night's just won't be the same again! With rave reviews from; ''our team had a brilliant night, it was great to get together for a social event as well as getting to learn more about the evidence around persistent pain'', to ''probably the best CPD event I've ever been to. Funny but also educational. Complex concepts explained in a fun way''... we certainly hope we've inspired our Connect HCPs and other attendees to keep challenging the way we think about, talk about, and treat persistent pain in our communities. Thank you to everyone who came along to our events in Newcastle and London, particularly to those who shared in the 'spotlight' and participated in our interactive elements, and of course to Profs Lorimer Moseley and Cormac Ryan for being sparkling hosts! 🔦🎤 If you missed the event and would like to know more about the work of our public health campaign, Flippin' Pain, you can check out our website here 👉 https://lnkd.in/etmyWGh

  • Saturday 22nd June marked #WorldOsteopathyDay. Osteopaths form a key part of our multi-disciplinary approach to MSK here at Connect Health and we'd like to take the opportunity to say a huge thank you to all our colleagues who work in these roles and help us to consistently deliver a great quality of care for our patients 👏 Samuel Morris, Clinical Delivery Lead and Osteopath, shares how he moved into a career in Osteopathy and why he chose to join Connect; ''With regards to the multi-disciplinary workforce, Connect are leaders. It’s a place where osteopaths can be heard and valued as clinicians... so it’s a natural option for people like me to gravitate towards.''
