Despite the macroeconomic uncertainty, Asia’s #privatemarkets are proving to be an exciting space, showing resilience and strong growth momentum. In 2024, the Asia-Pacific #privateequity market is expected to generate around $198 billion in revenue and is projected to grow at a CAGR of over 5% leading up to 2030. Private markets globally are also set to expand, with estimates suggesting they could make up 12% to 15% of client portfolios by 2030. Over the past few months, I’ve had numerous conversations with investors, fund managers, and industry leaders, and the consensus is clear—Asia’s private markets are entering a phase of tremendous growth. The appetite for #alternatives continues to rise, with capital increasingly flowing into private equity, #venturecapital, and other asset classes. Looking forward to a spirited conversation at LPx Asia in Singapore. The last decade or so saw the spectacular rise and fall of venture capital as an asset class. As frigid private markets do the necessary clean up, a new category of emerging VC managers is rising to the challenge - taking inspiration from a few dozen GPs who have perfected high-return strategies over the last three decades.
