  • Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first Taking Action workshop of the year, "Is Conflict on a Board a Bad Thing? Taking Action: Harnessing Creative Tension in Board Leadership.” Boards play a critical role in shaping organisational strategy, yet conflict is often seen as a threat rather than a tool for better decision-making. This session challenged that perception, showing how creative tension can lead to stronger governance, sharper critical thinking, and more innovative problem-solving. One of the many key takeaways? Conflict isn’t the issue—how we manage it is. Boards that embrace differing viewpoints and navigate tensions effectively unlock better ideas, more balanced decisions, and a culture of continuous improvement.   • Many leaders see conflict as something to avoid, but in reality, the best-performing leadership teams know how to use it to their advantage.
