I love charlie mackesy 💜 This beautiful drawing of his popped up on my instagram feed and it spoke to me. It accurately describes most of my professional (and personal) life. I am not suggesting I appear perfect - far from it at times - but what is accurate is how much mental and physical paddling I am doing to maintain the glide… Can anyone else relate?

Friday feels… So far today I’ve done the school run, met a client for coffee, been to the school Christmas Carol service, assisted a client in interviewing for a new exciting role they have and ticked off a number of items on my ‘to do’ list! Nothing profound to say about it really, but am feeling a sense of achievement… Happy weekend 😊

I am trustee for THE most amazing charity! Green Light Trust truly has my heart 💚 This beautiful hand made and sustainable wreath was hand delivered to my home yesterday - the most wonderful gift. What makes it so much more special is it was created, sustainably and with environmental purpose, love and care by our wonderful tutors and participants. I am so grateful 💚

Just me; the TC, and some flying machines! Great to speak at the Woodfines Solicitors Transport Conference today hosted by Mike Hayward, at Imperial War Museums in Duxford, with my Traffic Commissioner hat on. Wonderful to meet Rob Beckers CMILT, Phil Breen and Mark Cartwright in person and catch up with industry contacts. It’s all about road safety. Couldn’t resist a selfie with the planes and of course Rob. The Royal Navy helicopter was my fave 😊

Another day, another warehouse! Following on from my last warehouse post, I want to talk about behaviours. Had some wonderful chats with my client this morning who gets it… All the control measures in the world won’t work if they’re ignored, if leadership “walk on by”, if your people don’t feel empowered to challenge, if the only message they’re hearing is “get it done”. We’ll explore these themes with the legendary Tim Marsh at our ‘On Trial’ event on Tuesday! Happy Friday 💜

Teamwork is dream work… I wore a poppy with pride this morning as my horsey team and I tackled our first ever indoor showjumping competition. What got us through? 🏆Setting our goal (and all agreeing it was to enjoy not win) 🤲 Supporting each other but also being supported by friends (or in business speak, key stakeholders) 🙊 Clear communication ✏️ Learning from mistakes ❤️ Mutual respect (with pizza and giggles) Each of our team smashed their individual goals and lovely Garry did two clear rounds 😄 Our team goal of having fun was definitely achieved! Such a great visit today in lovely Lancashire (where my North West accent came out) - a tidy, well ordered warehouse with brilliant people!
