Coremont is leveraging its quantitative and operational expertise to support clients through the migration to the new 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗰𝗼 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗧𝗜𝗜𝗘 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗲 (𝗙-𝗧𝗜𝗜𝗘). The Bank of Mexico will prohibit the use of the existing 28D TIIE from 1 January 2025, and will only allow the use of F-TIIE thereafter. Ahead of this, the CME will be converting cleared MXN TIIE Interest Rate Swaps to the new F-TIIE rate on 22 November. In preparation, Coremont have built models in alignment with official F-TIIE guidelines, including a replacement for 28D TIIE rate, and a forward starting F-TIIE OIS rate.
