Over the weekend our Chief Executive, Tim Bonner, spoke to BBC Politics East about the upcoming 20th anniversary of the Hunting Act, saying: "I find it worrying that it's been 20 years since the ridiculous legislation was passed in the first place, but the idea that we have to return to this now, that this is Labour's priority in the countryside, is frankly extraordinary." On Monday 10 February, there will be a Westminster Hall debate in response to an online petition which relates to inheritance tax relief for working farms. Ahead of this debate, the Countryside Alliance has issued an updated briefing note to MPs outlining our position on the issue, as well as providing a breakdown of some of the disputed Treasury calculations in regards to the impact of this decision.
