Wandsworth-based community energy group saving energy, reducing emissions and retrofitting London homes and businesses.
About us
CREW Energy is a community energy group predominantly based in south-west London who care about making the capital a more resilient and sustainable place to live. CREW Energy offers a holistic service to help households, businesses and third-sector organisations reduce their carbon emissions and energy costs through retrofit, energy efficiency and low-carbon alternatives. We provide technical advice on the most appropriate energy options, funding packages, installation and after-care support. We want to make switching to a low carbon future as easy and simple for you as possible. In addition to our low-carbon work, we know many Londoners are at risk of fuel poverty. We are committed to supporting them to reduce their energy costs, access grants and benefits and stay warm and well through our South West London Energy Advice Partnership (SWLEAP). We raise funds to support these projects from a mix of foundations, grants, crowd funding and local investors. Any surpluses we raise through our work are directly invested in programmes promoting sustainable community well-being.

Another action-packed week in community energy world ⚡️ 🛹 We spent last Saturday afternoon offering energy advice at Kimber Skate Park with Earlsfield CLT. 🎙️ Followed by a Tuesday evening speaking alongside Community Energy London at the Redbridge climate change forum on community energy. 🧠 On Wednesday some of the CREW directors got together at our brand new co-working space/energy advice cafe venue Fayland Centre in Tooting to talk strategy and upcoming partnerships. 🏆 We topped it all off with a trip to Bristol today for the Community Energy England Awards. Huge congratulations to ENERGISE BARNSLEY for their much-deserved win in the Fuel Poverty Action category. And another to our friends at Repowering London for their commendation! Shall we bring the same energy into this week? 💪

Heating accounts for 49% of the energy used in business premises 💼 Here are some changes you can make for more efficient heating that saves energy, carbon and cash: 🔥 Keep windows closed when heating is on 🔥 Insulate hot water tanks, boilers and pipes 🔥 Move furniture away from radiators to allow heat to circulate around the room 🔥 Put radiator foils behind radiators on external walls - this will reflect the heat back into the room, rather than it escaping outside ----- ⚡️ We're CREW Energy, we help people and businesses in South West London save energy and cut carbon emissions in their buildings. Get in touch to see how we can support your business with: ✅ Free energy audits ✅ Energy efficiency workshops ✅ Low-carbon and renewable technologies

There's been lots of chat about the #AutumnBudget in the last week, but what did it have to say about energy? ⚡️ The short answer is 'lots', but is it enough? What are your thoughts? 💭
