⭐ Connected Urban Highly Commended for “Project of the Year” at ECN Awards 2024 ⭐ CU Phosco were delighted to be recognised with a “Highly Commended” for ‘Overall Project of the Year’ at the Electrical Contracting News (ECN) Awards Finals last night. The award celebrates the installation of our #ConnectedUrban Smart Pole in Cologne, Germany. Installed just in time for the UEFA European Football Championships, Connected Urban was able to provide thousands of fans and city residents with 5G connectivity ahead of the high footfall tournament and beyond. Thank you to all who voted for us and to everyone who has been involved in this project, especially Keith Henry and Laszlo Birkas. CU Phosco Calendar 2025! 🤩🗓️ We are delighted to announce this years' CU Phosco Calendar, which will be making it’s way to all of our customers very soon. For those of you who don’t know, we run the competition every year where we invite everyone from CU Phosco to submit a photo. The photos are verified and judged by our Visual Communications Partner, wishing tree creatives, who chose the following winners: 1️⃣ Sean Whewell (from our Westgate Factory) 2️⃣ Luke Wrangles (Phosco Factory, Ware) & Lorraine Thompson (Accounts team) All three were worthy winners, with Sean managing to capture a fork of lightning as it hit, while Luke and Lorraine prioritised unbelievable colour contrasts within their gorgeous, picturesque shots. Earlier this month, we celebrated the 25 year anniversary of Contracts Director, Bob Gaskell. Over the past 25 years, Bob has become a pillar of not only our Contracts Services Division, but of CU Phosco and the exterior lighting industry as a whole. To honour this landmark occasion, we sat down with him to discuss his CU Phosco journey to date, what’s kept him with us all these years, and how he has seen the industry change since joining as a Sales Manager back in 1999.
