As we step into 2025, it’s tempting to get swept up in resolutions and fresh starts. But real progress often comes from reflecting on the journey so far.
What worked in 2024? What didn’t? And most importantly - what lessons are you carrying forward into the new year?
At Culture Consultancy, we believe that reflection is a powerful catalyst for redefining not just personal goals, but organisational cultures too.
Leaders who prioritise culture ask themselves:
➡️ Are we living our values, or just talking about them?
➡️ Do our people feel empowered and connected to our purpose?
➡️ Is our culture enabling us to achieve our ambitions, or holding us back?
It’s also important to celebrate the positive aspects of your company’s culture - those moments of connection, innovation, and shared purpose. But let’s not forget: culture change is an ongoing journey.
Here’s to a 2025 of thoughtful reflection, continuous adaptation and embedding futureproofed cultures 🌍✨

Day 12 of our 12 Days of Culture Highlights
Culture was at the heart of everything that Culture Consultancy did this last year.
Seeing our clients transform their cultures – and pick up awards for those achievements – has been immensely rewarding.
But, as I reflect on what leaders need to focus on as we move into 2025, I’m drawn to the 5 key focal areas we wrote about in Get The Culture Edge*
🎯 Focus 1: Clarify and communicate your purpose and vision
🎯 Focus 2: Mobilise your leaders to drive the culture
🎯 Focus 3: Empower your managers to unlock performance
🎯 Focus 4: Drive Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB)
🎯 Focus 5: Making the desired cultural changes stick
Which of these do you think your organisation most needs to focus on in the coming months? Would be interested to read your thoughts in the comments – and I’d also like to take this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful few days of holidays ahead.

Day 11 of our 12 Days of Culture Highlights
I’d love to take the opportunity today to celebrate the various ways we collaborated to achieve real impact in 2024.
It’s almost inevitable I’ll miss something out here, so let’s say this is a selection of the collaborations that really moved the needle for Culture Consultancy in 2024!
🔥 A lively panel discussion in Manchester with the fantastic Claire, Jennifer and Léon, sharing insights and ideas around how to unlock business performance by building strong workplace cultures.
🔥 Also in Manchester for the E3 International Agency Network panel discussion, where we talked about multi-generational workforce dynamics, DEI and neurodiversity.
🔥 Natalie Saunders of Culture Consultancy chatting with Karen at Business Culture Awards & Business Culture Connected about gender equality and inclusion in football.
🔥 Jointly hosting a CPO breakfast with Catherine Osaigbovo, Partner at Page Executive, where we brought together an inspiring group of leaders to explore how pay equity, data transparency, and culture change intersect with broader #DEI goals.
🔥 Natalie Saunders was invited by HCG to speak about DEI at the Francis Crick Institute. Natalie shared a wide variety of insights and ideas for making DEI transformative not performative.
The big picture with all of these collaborations is that we achieve more working together in partnerships.
So, who will you look to partner with in 2025?

Day 9 of our 12 Days of Culture Highlights
Today I’d like to focus on lessons learned when it comes to empowering managers to unlock performance.
Let’s start by highlighting the crucial role managers play in shaping company culture and driving positive outcomes. When adequately empowered and supported, they can significantly enhance employee engagement, productivity, and overall organisational success.
Here are some things I’d encourage you to consider:
➡️ The Plight of Managers: they are in a demanding position, frequently caught between the expectations of leadership and the needs of their teams. This can be exacerbated by factors like managing multiple generations of employees and navigating the complexities of hybrid work environments.
➡️ The High Stakes: managers can have a significant impact on employee retention and satisfaction. Studies show that employees prioritise feeling valued by their managers and having a strong sense of belonging. Consequently, managers play a crucial role in mitigating attrition and fostering a positive work environment.
➡️ Empowerment as a Solution: To address these challenges and unlock the full potential of managers, I would advocate for a shift towards empowerment. This involves equipping managers with the necessary skills, resources, and support to effectively lead their teams and navigate the complexities of the modern workplace.
For more on this and some key strategies for empowerment, check the 3rd focal area in our eBook “Get The Culture Edge” (free download available here: https://lnkd.in/e6eHkn6S)

Day 8 of our 12 Days of Culture Highlights
Today I’d like to talk about how we’ve helped clients ensure their culture change sticks. Successfully embedding cultural change requires moving beyond top-down mandates and fostering team ownership.
If you’d like to drive cultural change this coming year, here are some things to consider:
☑️ Ditch Outdated Approaches: Traditional top-down approaches to cultural change are no longer effective. While most companies adopt this approach, it often results in a disconnect between desired values and actual employee behaviour. Simply rebranding culture with new icons and slogans without addressing underlying systems and behaviors leads to change fatigue and a lack of genuine transformation.
☑️ Team Ownership: Successful culture change happens when teams take ownership of the process and implement improvements to their ways of working. This leads to greater effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity.
☑️ Tailored Implementation: A monolithic approach to culture change may not be suitable for all organisations. Allowing for micro-cultures to thrive, especially in large and dispersed companies, can be more effective. This means recognizing that different teams may require varying levels of structure and autonomy.
☑️ Contextual Application: It is crucial to demonstrate how the desired company culture translates into practical actions and behaviours within specific team contexts. Leaders and managers should be equipped to facilitate this process and empower teams to make necessary changes to their workflows.
☑️ Measurement and Continuous Improvement: Measuring the shift in culture and its impact on performance is essential. Implementing team-level metrics helps demonstrate progress and builds momentum. Continuous learning is also key, with teams reflecting on successes, challenges, and areas for future improvement.
I’ll finish by saying it’s important you celebrate existing positive aspects of your company’s culture, whilst acknowledging that culture change is a continuous journey requiring ongoing adaptation and refinement.

Day 7 of our 12 Days of Culture Highlights
This year’s definitely one where I’ve had to juggle to manage the Work-Life balance. Back in March, I lost another disc in my back and faced four months off work.
It felt like an eternity!
When I first lost a disc, I wrote about how vital it is to prioritise our own health and well-being, especially when we’re used to giving so much to others.
However, when this second injury happened, I found myself once again pushing through the pain, trying to keep up with the demands of life without truly listening to my body.
It took being wiped out for a second time to understand that real resilience isn’t just about bouncing back and getting back to normal – It’s about learning from the past and making lasting changes.
So, as we head towards the New Year, what lasting changes are you going to make in your life and your career?
