Friday news flash... we’ve secured the prestigious Green Apple Award for Environmental Excellence! 🏆 🍏 Alongside the Reuse Network and DHL Supply Chain, we’ve been recognised for our joint White Goods Return Scheme, which collects, refurbishes, and donates old appliances to low-income households. The scheme was selected out of a competitive 1,200 nominations worldwide, and celebrated our double commitment to helping combat the e-waste crisis as well as supporting local communities. The award ceremony took place at Kensington Palace. 💚 Last year alone, our partnership with the Reuse Network helped 9,284 households save £1.74m (2023/24). Niaz, is a Retail Assistant at Currys who joined us earlier this year. He contributed to a recent Mencap newsletter, where he talked about having a learning disability and autism. 🌟 "My colleagues don’t see my learning disability as an issue at all – we all help each other out. There have been so many highlights. My hours were extended before I passed my probation – that was a great feeling. I even sold a £5,000 TV once! My manager was so happy with me." 🎳 "Working has built up my confidence. I’ve made friends too. We had a lot of fun going bowling after work recently." 👾 "The money from my new job has allowed me to save for the future. I also bought an air fryer for my mum." Next up? As a passionate gamer, he’s getting specialist training to become his store’s gaming expert 🎮 . Inspiring people like Niaz show how surrounding yourself with supportive colleagues and opportunities to progress, are key to unlocking potential. We’re excited to see Niaz continue to build his career with us. #IDPD2024 #LifeAtCurrys #Inclusion #Diversity #CareerStories

2 million customer donations have been made by Currys customers for the Digital Poverty Alliance 🙌 Why not take a watch of our newly released video that shows the real-life impact these microdonations are having on the lives of families across the UK? ⬇️ Moira Thomas shares: “This milestone is a true testament to the generosity of our customers. Two million is a huge number, but it's representative of the huge impact this is having on the families who now have access to the digital world. We see the positive each individual donation is having through the newly launched video – Alexis and Kellie are now connected, and the difference that’s having is mighty.” #GivingTuesday #microdonations Pennies Moira Thomas Elizabeth Anderson

Since its launch this summer, the Embrace Network has already made an incredible impact. 💥 Together, we’ve celebrated South Asian Heritage Month, Black History Month, Diwali, and other events. Embrace is helping us actively promote diversity by creating opportunities to understand, celebrate, and advocate for it – while also connecting colleagues across the business. This month, the Network honoured Islamophobia Awareness Month (IAM), embracing its theme, “Seeds of Change". And last week, Yasmeen Mason-Domingo, Nikki McCann, Suha Shariff 💫, Ian B., Kim Adamson, Sheena M., Steve B., and Ebun S. attended a special event at the Houses of Parliament, celebrating unity and education in the fight against Islamophobia and racism. Yasmeen shares: "What an incredibly emotional and privileged evening. I'm proud to work in an environment that champions authenticity and mutual respect, thanks to the inspiring efforts of all our colleagues. The feeling I have tonight is absolutely testament to the incredible work by my peers as part of the Network.” 💫 Thank you to Steve for his collaboration with IAM, to the Embrace Network for leading the way, and to Yasmeen for capturing the occasion! #LifeAtCurrys #EmployeeResourceGroups #EmbraceNetwork #DEandI

🌍 We’re committed to using our reach as a force for good. Jessie Greenhalgh, our Responsible Sourcing Manager, plays a key role in developing our annual modern slavery statement and championing ethical practices across the Currys supply chain. She's collaborating with teams across the Group and partners like the Hope for Justice and Slave-Free Alliance (SFA) to set new goals, reflect on past progress, and ensure we are constantly evolving to meet best practices. Her work goes beyond creating policies – it’s about driving real, measurable impact. Through partnerships with the SFA and other organisations like the Bright Future Co-operative, we’re building safer recruitment practices and helping to provide stable jobs to vulnerable workers. She says: "For me, seeing these individuals build sustainable independence is a powerful reminder of the impact we can achieve, supported by our partners and dedicated managers across the company who go above and beyond to make the programme a success." It’s all about making real, lasting change, one policy (and one life) at a time. 👏 #Sustainability #ModernSlavery #EthicalSourcing #ForceForGood
