If you haven’t listened to the latest episode of the Dad Still Standing podcast what have you been waiting for!? James Green shares his experience of loss and the impact it had on him and his wife. The clip here is an insight into James’ journey and that moment most of us experience when absolute joy turns to complete despair. The episode is full of our usual attempts at humour and a lovely bond between the three of us. Those eagle-eyed followers will spot our attempts to improve our looks by going all black and white in the photo like James 🤣 happy for it not to be mentioned in the comments 🤩 #blaw #babyloss #stillborn #miscarriage #babylossawareness #grief #stillbirth #blaw2023 #lifeafterloss #pregnancyloss #bereavedmother #babylosssupport #StillAMum #bereavedparents #stillbornstillloved #angelbaby #griefjourney #StillADad #griefsupport #loss #rainbowbaby #pregnancyandinfantloss #stillbirthawareness #miscarriageawareness #stillbirthsupport #babylosscommunity #nationalbereavedparentsday #bereavedfather #dadsgrievetoo #bereaveddad

Tomorrow, we kick off a brand-new season of the Dad Still Standing podcast, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring you even more honest conversations and support for parents navigating life after baby loss. ❤️ Our first episode is all about self-awareness and self-perception. So, how we see ourselves versus how others see us in the midst of grief. It’s a powerful start to a season that’s dedicated to helping you feel heard, understood, and supported. It'll be our usual blend of raw chat about loss from a dad's perspective with a smidge of down the pub banter and a dash of guidance on how to navigate the shit show that is life after loss. Mark your calendars, charge your headphones and make sure to tune in! 🎧 #DadStillStanding #BabyLossSupport #PodcastSeason4 #GriefJourney #SelfAwareness #CommunitySupport #DadsGrieveToo

What's been the best support you've seen in the workplace following a loss? For someone out there today, it is their first day back at work after losing a child. Returning to work after a bereavement can feel like entering an unfamiliar space. If you’re a manager or colleague, consider how you can support someone navigating this difficult transition. Let’s share ways to help those grieving while returning to work. Our episode on returning to work was one of the first we recorded three years ago - because we had both felt that pain and trepidation. In the season three finale which coincided with Father’s Day, we were joined by the incredible bereaved parents behind SAD DADS CLUB. Jay, Rob and Chris dialling in from the USA share the story of their losses and the impactful work they are doing to support fathers across America (and the world) with their grief. The three dads give advice ahead of Father’s Day, and we also do a little round-up of the season, sharing our favourite highlights. Make sure you follow the SAD DADS CLUB here and check out their Instagram channel. It’s always full of insightful and moving content. These guys are such a powerful resource as we grapple with grief. Hope everyone enjoys the episode and we’ll see you soon. Supporting a partner through Father’s Day after the loss of a baby can be incredibly challenging. Here are our the Dad Still Standing top five tips to help: 1️⃣ Acknowledge the Day: Let them know you understand how tough it is. 2️⃣ Encourage Open Communication: Create a safe space for them to share their feelings. 3️⃣ Plan Together: Respect their wishes on how they want to spend the day. 4️⃣ Honour the Memory: Find meaningful ways to remember and honour their baby. 5️⃣ Provide Emotional and Practical Support: Offer comfort, understanding, and help with daily tasks. Every individual grieves differently, so it’s essential to tailor your support to what feels right for your partner. Your presence, empathy, and understanding can make a massive difference #FathersDay #BabyLoss #Support #Grief #Bereavement #DadStillStanding #HealingTogether #MentalHealth #EmotionalSupport #dadsgrievetoo

How long did it take you to realise you weren’t the only loss parent in the world? The amount of our listeners who reach out to say they feel completely alone is heartbreaking. There’s nothing worse than going through the pain of grief while feeling isolated. One of the main things you can do, when the time is right, is to reach out to groups, forums, charities and social media to find others who have lost. The solidarity in our community is strong and remains one of the main reasons people keep going through the pain. But we also need to share our stories so others have the chance to find them and feel comfort. #babyloss #grief #dadsgrievetoo see

Taking the South Park: Terrance and Phillip approach to our Dad Still Standing socials this week. Since these little characters and branding were created (by the incredible Joshua Hastings) I've wanted to give this a test, and finally had time to try it out. Weird? Interesting? Amazing? Never do it again... what are people's thoughts? #comms #mentalhealth #bereavement #support
Are you allowed to still feel happiness at all while suffering with grief? This topic comes up a lot when our listeners reach out and is particularly poignant in the early stages of grief. So, here’s the two of us bereaved dads talking about the guilt of feeling happiness after losing a child. The clip is taken from the latest episode of the podcast where we discus the dilemma in full. #blaw #babyloss #grief #stillbirth #mentalhealth #mentalhealthsupport
