We choose to use Post-Consumer Resin (PCR) from kerbside collections in the manufacture of our sustainable products (some are even made from 100% PCR). Recycling plastic waste into PCR reduces the need for virgin plastic production which, in turn, reduces the amount of energy required to extract, refine, and process new plastic. The PCR we use is sourced locally – made from plastic waste generated by consumers in the north west, processed in the north west, and reinvented into new products in the north west. #Healthcare #InfectionPrevention #recycling https://lnkd.in/eZJGphUN

Our hybrid production machine at our manufacturing site in Littleborough is creating local employment, global carbon savings, and healthcare supply chain security. It means that instead of importing WIVA™ containers from the Netherlands, the products can now be produced here in the UK, effectively removing the need for emissions-producing transportation from Europe. Not only that, with a focus on speed and low power consumption, the large capacity injection moulding machine has state-of-the-art energy efficient technology which delivers a quieter and faster cycle time using 30% less energy than a standard, non-hybrid machine. Our WIVA™ containers are available with coloured lids that follow the HTM07-01 colour-coding system. For example: Our RED lidded containers are for the disposal of anatomical waste, such as recognisable body parts and placentas. WHY WE USE THE COLOUR CODED SYSTEM: Each type of our customers’ waste needs to be disposed of and handled differently.
