Last Friday, the team gathered in #Manchester to celebrate an incredible 2024 with our annual Christmas meal. We kicked things off with an amazing 3-wave set meal in a private room at Tattu – complete with dry ice cocktails and desserts. Afterwards, we continued the celebrations at 20 Stories. Special shoutouts to: 🎤Dom for delivering a stellar speech. 😂 Daniel Smith for rocking his Grinch jumper. 👏 Jordan for organising such a brilliant evening. 🎅 Matt McCluney for leaving on time and keeping his promise to behave (miracles at Christmas!) 💳 And, of course, Mark Richards for picking up the bill – true Christmas spirit! Cheers to the whole Datum team and everyone we've worked with in 2024 - it’s been an unforgettable year, and we can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store...

Lunch with a view… sort of! 🌦️ A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for lunch to chat about our new #DataCentre build in #Manchester (#MCR2). While the weather didn’t exactly deliver on the 'view' part, it was great to hear people's thoughts on our heat reuse project, and the green credentials of our new data centre facility. We also had some interesting discussions about the impact of #AI in the data centre space. Hot on the heels (quite literally) of her success at the Bournemouth Half Marathon in October, our resident runner, Emily Mahon, swapped the UK coastline for the picturesque views of Lake Garda. The streets of Arco and Riva Del Garda were completely closed off, creating a festival-like feel as runners tackled the scenic course. Starting in Arco, looping around, and finishing in the beautiful Riva Del Garda, Emily conquered the race in challenging conditions - 16°C with 70% humidity! Emily crossed the line in 2hrs 26mins, just 3 minutes slower than her Bournemouth time (and with plenty of picture-taking stops along the way). Her review? "The pasta at the end was so worth it!!" She highly recommends the experience to anyone - running or not - just for the jaw-dropping views. Congratulations, Emily! Just the #LondonMarathon to go now, then 😂🏃♀️
